Thanks man. I bought a repair kit and the tools knowing nothing but KZbin would come through and guide me to success. Lol just fixed a boot on my side by side. Well done.

You can also take a center punch and punch an indent where the strap folds over

This is a good idea, it will really mesh the metal, just dont hit so hard as to break it lol

Thank you for making this video. It helped on a 2019 Polaris ranger.

Very nice info that was missing from my tool kit. Unfortunately, the tool was so poorly made the tightening handle fell off at first use and the cuttintg tool had such a mushy edge it simply wrapped the strap around making a big mess. I found I could make a better job using vise grips and regular cutters!!!

Good job, well done! Is it really necessary to use special tool to make the clamp tight? Or should it be possible with 'standard' grap piliers..?
@dantheman13374 ай бұрын
grease will leak out if it is not tight enough so you'll find out

Can you use this in place of a hose clamp on a radiator hose? In other words will it seal pressure up to 9 psi?
@JacopoSkydweller Жыл бұрын
Absolutely not. It will not last if it works at all. Why wouldn't you just buy a proper hose clamp? They're so cheap and readily available at any auto parts store.
@xs11cruiser Жыл бұрын
That is exactly what I assumed because they are not wide enough and that rubber hoses will crush over time and come loose. standard hose clamps are unsightly in my view and tend to rust somewhat due to low grade stainless steel. Just wanted to query and see if others have used them in this way. Constant tension clamps are still the best option in my view because if the hose squashes they will still maintain tension.@@JacopoSkydweller

@@xs11cruiserthey use the spring clips for a reason, its because they expand and contract using these or jubilee clips don't let them flex and still keep tension, I've seen it happen when they have caused pipe connectors to crack

You were saying what way to put the band on for the rotation of the axle and then when you put it on your axle, it was the opposite way. Am I the only one who caught that?
@Ryan-yv1gb2 жыл бұрын
Still a great video on how to use the tool.

Note that it was the inboard side and he flipped the axle around so he did it the way he said he was.
