WOW 😳 You should be incredibly proud of yourself brother! Great runs and awesome time you pulled off! Think about how fresh of a build this is and how much you'll be able to improve even more from here with time and experimenting to get it really dialed in like you want! Very, very cool man!! You aren't talking about the Anthony from Poortex that was from near me in NY, and Paul that used to own a sick ass blue mk2 synchro GTI also from NY are you??? I believe Anthonys username on the 'Tex was 'Anthony mk2,' or 'Teh Lonz?' Long ass time ago and my memory is shitty LOL. I know it's a long shot since you aren't from NY, but not only is it a small world, but those guys are pretty hardcore VW enthusiasts, and they were both really active in the community, especially on Poortex back in the days. My buddy Matt McCloskey was also a great guy and built some fuckin rippers! He had an mk2 GTI with a big turbo VR that was incredible AF. It was on some Schmidt's with a full cage, Rallye front end, audi door handles, etc in silver. Car was one of the nicest mk2's I've seen/ rode in. He used to have a shop up here called Technik Motorsport. He was definitely prevalent on the 'Tex as well, and he was friends with the Paul I was referring to. My other good friend and roommate from back in the day was Mike Fopeano who was another die hard mk2 guy from up here too. His username on the 'Tex is 'Fopeano.' He's been on there probably since the beginning of the forums, and now he has an Mk4 VR Jetta that he tracks. Its a pretty tight-knit community and I've always loved that about the VW/ Audi enthusiasts. Anyways, I was just wondering. Crazier things have happened before when it comes to mutually knowing people. Congratulations again my friend!! Great work!! 👍💪😎
