Big thank you! Mine was a little bit different, (crazy instument cluster, ecu, gateway, all doors faults etc.) I even started to changing ecu and modules to make faults dissapears... but all in all it was just broken wire of G28 :) you saved my life.

Did your car ever throw a code for your bad crank sensor? I’m literally going through exactly what you described but i get no codes for any thing but control module faults 😫

Having same code. Going to try looking at wire first before buy sensor, and oil housing gaskets or o-rings

Same problem in my 2009 caddy, looks like this black plastic tube(supposed to cover harness) rubbing wires and they getting broken… overall i get dissapointed on vw harness quality

I believe this is the problem I am having with my jetta because there is a wire cluster that controls the crankshaft sensor and the ECT sensor and both are not working.

Ahoj mám oktáviu 2 103 kw 2tdi kabeláž je rovnaká ? menili mi senzor ale ked idem počas daždu alebo vybehnem na wapku tak mi auto šklbe a nakoniec zdochne a nejde naštartovat čiže usudzujem že je problem v kabeláži a chcem si pozrieť kabeláž.

@@golfwagen4173 problém som našiel... Fialový kábel bol predraty a nebola na ňom už izolácia a pravdepodobne vplyvom vody to aj blblo tak som ho prepajkoval zaizoloval a auto ide :)... Skúška ci to bol on som spravil tak ze som ho najprv prestrihol a auto mi zle štartovalo a keď už aj nabehol tak mi svietila kontrolka zhavenia a blikanie oleja a samozrejme neukazovalo otacky presne rovnaké príznaky ako keď som išiel za dažďa... Každopádne auto ide a pustil som sa do toho len vďaka tomuto videu a našiel som závadu dakujem.

Whoever has this problem in a Mark6 Jetta TDI check to see if one of the zip ties is broke on your wiring, mounting bracket on oil filter housing if so, look underneath the broken zip tie area. my lines were chewed right underneath that spot. Are used non-insulated but connectors and marine grade shrink tubing to fix it. All is good now.

Ahoj, měl sem tech drátu rozklepaných víc, řešil sem to výměnou celého svazku. Jen pořád řeším chybnou funkci N18 v akčních členech. Egr,skrtici klapka,chladič spalin a zvazek jsou vyměněny. V tahu škubne jakoby auto váhalo jestli má přidat. Mám stejny motor na octavii 2

i have same problem G28 problem i changed the sensor the car starts hard but start... i checked the cables even under the battery no problem. i see you have broken cable but your RPM gauge worked a little bit just like mine.

i fixed this long time ago i found the broken wire and rounded with electical tape and no problem afterthat

@Ifty Khan right after the ecu plug there was a black and white wire that go to the sensor the white wire was cut idk how. You have to remove the plastic tray underneath the wipers to check the wiring loom.

@@anwhk ye I fixed it and sold it the crankshaft was out of time by one tooth and the Injectors was all leaking so I replaced them with pd130 injectors and then sold the car
