Where is the idle control valve located on the vehicle?
@itzjay_16782 ай бұрын
It does not have one it has something else called a oil seperator that works like a vaccum idle air control valve

What year this pertains to would help. They made a few 1.8 and 2.0s.

I am struggling to put back the whole HPFP assembly. I really dislike the 1.8ts nothing but issues. Mom’s car is a 2014 jetta 1.8t. Reasoning for removing is, I had to redo the valve cover gasket due to failure (normal honestly) before that coils and plugs (normal), but the car is having lots of oil leaks, so I went ahead and re did all gaskets and even the timing cover, 3 of the fuel injectors failed, part of the reason there and at only 67k miles the amount of carbon build up was insane inside the intake manifold and on the valves, so I went ahead and cleaned all of that, then the crankshaft sensor, both of those oil sensors, senders went bad, a bunch of shit honestly. Not the easiest car to work on only cause in my opinion, German cars haha. But, getting the HPFP assembly to slide onto the cam and twist with those metal seals are a bitch so…if you’re going to do it be aware…you will become a sailor if you’re not already one LOL
