did you feel any action from the esp even though it was off?I ve heard that it engages in situations like this

not on my car. its one of the first 9n3 GTI's. In die later years of built the esp works altough the 'esp is off'

I want to buy a polo gti and I would like to clear some things in my mind.I want the car to have a defeatable esp system so that I can take the advantages of esp off when I visit a circuit.So your polo is a 2006 model with the hard dash plastics?If I remember right you have a friend with a newer 9n3 model which has the soft dashboard?Is his esp completely off or not?

i think that only the first years of built have an ESP which is completly off. A friend of me told me that all Polos which are built for the german market have an hard-plastic dashboard. Some RE-Imports have soft-touch..You should not focus on the ESP because when its already ON it allowes very much and intervenes very late.. You should focus on a car which is in a good state and have much features and also hasn't much kilometres. this will be diffcult enough. Maybe you should look for an cup-edition. They aren't that expensive today and all are in the latest years of built of the 9n3. Also they have no problems with the transmission, which the first 9n3GTI have (including mine).
