For all that manual shifting guys. Please drive a car with DSG first. You can either do automatic mode, Sports Mode and you can manually shift the gears with Paddles or with the automatic shift stick which allows manual shifting too. But the main important thing is you don't have to press the clutch everytime. So if you want to shift manually you can do it but you don't have to do if you don't want to. Since i bought my first A3 3.2 DSG i never want to go back to manual shifting car. The automatic shifting is doing a perfect work. Also the more power you have it's more difficult to shift manually. DSG means it is a double Clutch System and it definitely shift faster than a manual one.

Very true and very well said. The R32 is an amazing car! My neighbor had one and I lusted over that for years. One of my all time favorites. (Your TT RS is also awesome btw ) Good luck with your purchase! I'm planning on getting a used R32 myself as well as the new 2.0TDI Golf Wagon (family hauler ) that I plan on pushing to 300+ hp and Titantic like torque. Still won't be as fun as a stock R32 but for the shopping and IKEA trips will do the trick.

I used to hate DSG's because I had never driven one. These idiots that are saying DSG's suck are not intelligent and have not driven them. Its unreal how fast those shifts are. DSG's are awesome. I still drive a manual trans Golf R, but dont be comparing that DSG to an automatic transmission.

Yes drive a manual is a lot more fun I know a 04 R32 in stick and its makes my day when I drive it. My point was that the R32 never came in a normal auto it came with a great DSG gear box and i wouldnt hate on it.

Anyone in here dishing this car has never been in a Twin Turbo'd R with DSG. The brutal launch and unrelenting thrust as the car shifts through the gears has to be experienced. No lift shifts are par for the course. This car is also faster than a comparatively powered manual.
