Do you remove that black paint from sheet metal? Or you keep it and paint over that?

I need an engine deck lid for my ‘70 bay window. I can get one from Wolfsburg West that’s in stock for $249 but they confirmed it’s made in Taiwan or do I wait for Autocraft to ship me one from the UK for $236? This is kind holding up a complete restoration

Is there any way I can get prints on heater channels? If i can machine some dies I would crank them out for cheap and accurate and I would dip them

the bus I have was not dipped just painted on the outer. what your vid is about you know it wouldn"t cost but a couple of bucks to up a gauge you know black cold roll don"t cost to much

the thicker the metal the larger the press. The more it wears when you use the dyes. so that is why they dont use thicker metal. I know from making my own stuff that making stuff wtih 18 gauge vs 20 is so much easier 19 gauge is hard to find.
