If your Van is bouncing on a soft shock setting its either sitting on the bump stop or the shocks are bottoming out. I'd assume you have short shocks so chances are your on the bump stops or very close to them. If you open the rear doors on your Van and jump up and down you will feel the Van hitting the bump stop. Just be aware that theres several methods and ways to cure that, but you need to know exactly what direction your going with your build.

@@stoatrepublic strangely I’m changed my shocks and still rather bouncy . So looking to chop them bump stops down like you suggested as I looked and there is only 20mm between the two! Which one I cut back bottom like t dubz or top like other channels please help ??

Hi Tom. Great video mate. I have had the stance + for 4 years now and they do the job. Towing a wobble box now so 80kg tow bar weight is making the rear so bouncy. I am no low low at around 65mm drop and still use the adjusters. Is there two types of rear Gaz, short or non short or will the short work because the adjusters are still in place. Regards Carl.

@@tomtdubz Generally what I do is set Van down on its wheels without the spring very gently while on a 4 post ramp and see exactly where all the contact points are after moving or cutting bump stop etc, just so if the spring breaks worst case scenario on the road, I want to make sure the wheel can still turn and the brakes aren't compromised. If you need to tub the arch to stop the tyre rubbing then thats going to need addressing. My Vito needs addressing and a few other points redressed. Modifications are an endless journey, lol.

Hi Tom, I am running the stance plus but I find when I am towing my caravan the bouncy rear end is awful. Makes you feel sea sick! Will these help with towing? I don’t run them particularly low about halfway on adjuster
@tomtdubz3 жыл бұрын
Definitely they have adjustable dampening will make the ride loads better
@wooly24502 жыл бұрын
Tom, I know this was a while back now but I remember initially when you fitted the stance+ on the rears you weren’t happy as it wasn’t as low as the front. Did you just remove the adjusters and rubbers to get it as you wanted? Do you know how much in total it dropped it? I’ve got H&R -50mm springs on mine so maybe just thinking of removing the rubbers to gain a few more mm and just buying the stance+ fronts?
@tomtdubz2 жыл бұрын
Yeah wasn’t happy, removed the adjusters and cut the bump stops down. Ride was a bit bouncy on the rear. You could do that to yours on the rear and the front coilovers. I think once you have the right set up u may find that you use the rear of the kit too. 👌🏻👌🏻

Top man, that was a quick reply 👌🏼 Are you going the extra and getting damper adj I didn't but will see how they go, apparently prolines can be a fiddle to set up as height and spring is adjustable. Good work my man. If your a father then happy fathers day! 👍🏼
