Great video, thanks very much. Tell me, how does the step plastic come off? Do you just pry it?

Great job, practical and neat design within a confined space, as well as matching up the leisure battery with a sensible capacity. 😎👍✅

BLIMEY i wish I had a workshop like yours 😮☹ Ive just done an18 month total overhaul on all the running gear on my old T5 (250,000 miles) OUTDOORS on a gravel drive in all weathers 😟 Now I have to fit my diesel heater , water tank and twin Lithium batteries OVER WINTER 😂 Ahhh great video but im fitting mine under the floor to save space - wrong video for me.😊

Great video, couple of questions though... 1. How did you earth your battery? to where? 2. Would this system work with a swivel seat?
@tomtdubz3 жыл бұрын
I used the earthing point under the seat carpet, u could use a agm bat then you could lay it on its side….
@chopperpl2 жыл бұрын
@@tomtdubz Split chargers are only good, if you use same type/size/age/brand batteries as your starter battery. Otherwise you're going to wear down your leisure battery very quickly. You should use DC-DC charger with 3 stage charging espacially, when your leisure bat is of different type than the starter bat.
@tomtdubz2 жыл бұрын
So can you get a 115 ah agm for a starter battery then ? , and why do you say a dc dc charger is better ? … we often use a merlin smart bank charging system , which has a 200amp charging output, and is way more efficient than any dc dc system, also a voltage sensing relay is sufficient when the vehicle doesn’t have intelligent alternators
@brodybourne3 жыл бұрын
Love your videos! I had a Car electrician fit my split charge and he’s done something I’ve never seen before. My split charge connects to an alternator cable found under the passenger seat. No wires from my battery. Have you heard of this before?

Hello, thank for watching. Yeah check underneath the seats by removing the panel at the back, I’ve not seen what it looks like on a lhd, but should be possible

Where is the best place to ground the earth cable dude?
@tomtdubz3 жыл бұрын
There’s an earthing point under the matting under the seat where all the original cables come out....
