Informative quick DIY. Its a shame VW/ Skoda could not include such wipers from factory and Maruti could . I am sure many will be quick to adopt this aesthetically pleasing mod.

Length of Polo’s rear wiper blade is longer. Touches the top of Taigun’s windshield.

Check the length of the wiper dude. Especially when the wiper is at top position of the windshield. If it doesn’t hit the spoiler, you can install it.

Why are you changing the whole wiper arm? Isn't it possible to swap the blade instead?

The Punto, Linea were affordable cars that had proper frameless wipers if you would recall. Looks very aesthetic.

@@GaneshBalan Yes! Who are the OEM suppliers for VW/Skoda? For the Japanese say Honda, Nissan, Toyota it is Mitsuba and I see identical frameless wiper blades across these vehicles. IIRC, this concept of frameless wiper blade was first introduced in India by Honda in Civic during 2006. Technical presentation revealed it reduced the wind noise during high speeds due to the presence of those spoilers in the skeletal profile.

Totally agree. They had the wiper arm assemblies readily available in the Polo. All they had to change was the length of the wiper blade to fit the Taigun and Kushaq’s windshield.

This is not frameless wiper, but still looks better than stock wiper.

This is indeed a frameless wiper or what VW calls the ‘aero’ wiper. The other one has a metal frame.
