I am 1100 miles away from home in Colorado springs. My 08 Jetta, 25 with this gearbox. Got stuck in third gear. I followed what you just showed in this video and son of a gun if I didn't get control of my transmission! Thank you brother for knowing what to do!

Hey. My CC Rline is kind of jumping around on the rpms will this help. I accidentally hit the shifter over and didn't notice for like 7 seconds and it's been slow to shift into gear

Try the reset can't hurt, but remember you have the DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) it's not like a traditional automatic transmission it starts rolling when you let off the brake.

"Dual Sequential Gearing" = DSG 🤣 What is the purpose of turning the Accessory power off and holding the pedal down? There isn't any voltage comunicating with the ECU at that point. Just hold it down with accessory power on and start the car.

1: nope, DSG stands for Direct Shift Gearbox (Direktschaltgetriebe). 2: yes there is. Once you turn off the car, the electrical systems turn off completely only when you open the door. Same applies for this procedure.
