Oh what fun! I gotta say that I'm envious. I live at Lake of the Ozarks in MIssouri and I haven't been able to find a VW group anywhere near here. In fact, besides my '70 Beetle, I've only seen about 2 other Beetles in the area. I sure would like to find a group of enthusiasts like this in my area!

Are those the original front seats with the headrest cut off on Tommie B wife’s car?

The beige Bug has 67 seats in it. Although 68 are almost the same but with a big foam piece to make a head rest out of- we have removed that piece to make low backs a few times - super easy. No real cutting or actual work especially if you are already in the process of replacing the covers. Tommie
