I use the Chief in my vehicle detail business. Hard to beat a continuous water fill system that needs no cooling down to add water then repressurizing to get back to the job. Hard to beat Chief systems in that respect. Great comparison. To those on the fence, think about the down time and need to continuous go.

Absolutely, I believe I was getting about 30 to 45 minutes of use out of the vx5000, but to let it cool and heat back up seemed like it was taking so long. But the Chief has made things much more efficient. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment

I really love your style. It's good that you impress on people that you can "actually" clean a car without a steamer, i.e. the great little story about your young detailer watching all the steamer vids. I just ordered a nice steamer by Dupray, so I'm looking at all the how-to videos on steam cleaning I can. I notice almost all the car detailers still use pre-treat of some kind or all purpose cleaner with a brush to lossen things up. Makes sense to me, then use the steam cleaner and the micro-fiber cloth. Thanks for the really fun and informative video. Darn, I wish I was as in good of shape as you. I'm sure all your years of hard work detailing didn't hurt you a bit. I'm 70, but I know I'm still w a y..... out of shape. Marc.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I do enjoy detailing work. It's not as easy as lots of folks think it is. It's taken a little toll on me. But I'm still here grinding. I do still love the machine quite a lot. It's been very helpful in my work flow. I didnt know at the time of this video, but once in a while depending on how often you use this machine, there is a plug bolt in the bottom of the boiler you need to remove and make sure you clean any mineral deposits out.

I like this video, I own the VX5000 may upgrade down the line to a vaporchief 125 for the fact you can run it with (STRICTLY) tap water (NO DISTILLED WATER) The extension and horse hair brushes and the chemical injection with continuous fill.

Nice video! I like the Chief 75....at $675. Adding those 2 solution containers, sure makes it a little bit time saving. But is it $1100 more worth it? Sure we all can use sprayers, brushes on a drill to clean carpets and seats. I guess because I was a part time detailing, I always had access to hot water for my VX 5000, then the heating time is about 5 minutes 😂, next do we all need 6 bars for interior detailing? No. And in the steps of interior detailing, wiping, brushing, etc I never had a downtime with the VX. My point is cleaning with the VX or the Chief 75 may just be fine. Do I like the Chief 125 ...Yes. But unless this is a tool in your daily Auto detailing arsenal...not worth to spend the $$. Ps ...I had the VX since 2009 and I detailed over 200 vehicles with that machine. Never added distilled water, and 11 years after...still 0 problems.

I was a bit concerned with using distilled water because I didnt wanna use tap water and mess the machine up, but I could have used tap water all along and made sure I cleaned it with vinegar and been just fine. But to be able to use chemical injection has been awesome, for onr washing and light degreaser for heavy greasy engine cleaning, this machine has made me money, not cost me money.

It does, it has a trigger button you squeeze with your index finger, and a button you squeeze/press with your thumb. It draws from the other bottle as it is more of a chemical injection button. It is very hot from there as well, I use that for just a steady stream of hot water. I talk about it more on the follow up video of 3 years of ownership video. Looking back I feel this is hard to watch , as I was new to talking to the camera the second video is better.

I have looked at it and considered purchasing it, to me it's a little big , as for myself using in a car the seats would be easy, and floor mats outside of the car also pretty east. But I have a bissel small machine that is not super powerful yet it's small size make easy work to get in the floorboard of cars tricky contours. So for me I may just save my $300 on the other component and continue using my bissel. Thank you for your comment.

I did do a 3 year video on it , maybe should do a 5 year. But honestly this thing has made me so much money it's redicoulas. I saw Larry from AMMO talk about the old vx5000 and I wanted one so bad. I put some money out on it and was a little disappointed at how long it took to cool off so I could refill, only to heat back up. With this holding a gallon or a little more, I can use maybe over a half gallon of water per vehicle on average. I did let it go a little long on cleaning out the machine, I wrote the guys at chief and told them what it wasn't doing, they sent a replacement part, only about 28 dollars and I had it going again in 30 minutes. Still a beast of a machine and hasn't let me down other than my own fault

@@bilal-5706 on this chief, there is a button you press with your thumb, it's the chemical injector, I normally use water only in that jug, and it blast a strong stream of water through the hose, it is good for floor mats engine bay, door jams that have dirt built up in them.
