"The Dupray Hill Injection comes with a powerful 121 PSI at 347 degrees which is almost twice the PSI of the VX5000 and even more than twice the McCulloch's. Having higher PSI makes auto detailing more efficient because the time saved is crucial to remain profitable"

Yeah that steamer is awesome. I have looked into it. $2k is a little steep for a steamer…but if you have the budget for it that’s cool.
@zenon30212 жыл бұрын
@@MirandaDetailing I don't own a steamer yet (still researching). Dupray Tosca is like 70 PSI for around $1,000. I'm wondering if the 121 PSI one would cut down on cleaning time - if so then it's worth it in the long run (if you clean a lot of cars). What parts of the car do you find steam cleaners most helpful? Just doors, air vents, and front/middle console?
@zenon3021 Жыл бұрын
@@SPPACATR I went middle-of-the-pack and got the dupray tosca. -dupray NEAT ~$200 -dupray tosca ~$1,200 -dupray hill injection ~ $2,200 I haven't used it on cars yet because it's my off-season, so I don't know how useful it'll be for detailing yet. I've used it on my bathroom & floors and stuff, and I can say it pumps out ALMOST continuous steam using medium steam. Like if you're steam-cleaning your bed or floors you'll have to pause for a short time to let the steam re-build. You know you need to pause when you see the temp drop from 316 to 300. The only down-side is you have to refill it ~ every 50 minutes, but this should be more than enough time to do 1 car. I've detailed for ~10 years without a steam cleaner, so it's a nice-to-have tool, but not a need-to-have. Any questions feel free to ask

I have been wanting one just because of the fact that I can fill it up while running and I don't have to wait another 15-20 minutes until it heats up. I love my Mcculloch but I've always wanted more, and felt like the hose can break easy.

put onr standard dilution in your steamer, should boost the power even more and removes all the lime in the machine too

Would you recommend teaming up a steamer with a certain APC to knock out mold. What do you recommend Phil?
@MirandaDetailing5 жыл бұрын
I would use vinegar as a solution to spray on mold but don’t use steam to excessively on mold. It can spread it and cause more issues. Try to extract mold and/or wipe it away and discard it.

@@MirandaDetailing cool beans. Thanks for the feedback Phil.🖒

.....Actually they do....i had training in mold remediation, but remember, it's different in vehicles because of the material we are dealing with. In buildings it's different, you don't treat the mold, you remove it completely. Thanks but, kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXzNqXmAm8ilmaM Trying to just refute without offering a solution or explaining the variables does. ABSOLUTELY nothing! That's why only you will be seeing this answer, that way no one else has to deal with this ignorance. Bye now!

Sorry one more question. I have an aqua pro vac extractor which is pretty good for what it is, but no steamer. Do you suggest I I upgrade my extractor to a heated mytee lite 8070 or purchase the VX 5000? Your advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
@MirandaDetailing5 жыл бұрын
I would get the VX5000 first if you still have the other extractor. It’s awesome!

Build up enough money so you can giveaway the used VX5000 and buy yourself a new one. I don't mind the used one! lol

I just got my new VX 5000, I’m having a problem with tightening the cover after I fill it with distilled water and taking the cap off. Is there a trick to it?
@MirandaDetailing2 жыл бұрын
It has a the type of cap that you need to press down on to tighten and un-tighten.

How does this compare with the Dupray hill injection steam cleaner ?
@MirandaDetailing3 жыл бұрын
I have no idea. I only have the VX5000. I have had all the McCulloch steamers before and they all broke within a few years.

Do I need a deformer in my extractor
@MirandaDetailing Жыл бұрын
Hi. You can if you're using a high foaming cleaner. But I have found that a little isopropyl alcohol sprayed into the dirty water tank will kill the foam.

I’m debating which steamer to purchase. I would love to purchase a VX 5000, but would need hold off until I have the funds. Do you suggest I purchase a Mcculloch 1385 for now or just wait till I can afford the VX 5000?
@MirandaDetailing5 жыл бұрын
Hi.. I have had all of the Mcculloch machines and they all broke within a few years. If you are a using them a lot they really are not tough enough. The VX5000 is super tough and you can even order a separate hose for it if that breaks. If you need one ASAP I guess the Mcculloch can work. But i would totally get the VX5000.
@trd37865 жыл бұрын
Ok thanks for the advice. Great videos! I’ll probably hold off and wait till I can purchase a VX 5000. Enjoyed the videos when you replaced the pump and vacuum on your Mytee 8070! Great machine!

@@trd3786 Mcculloch is a good beginner steamer and like miranda detailing mentioned above they do break within 1-3 year span. And thats with me just using it 2-5 times a month!! I just picked up a used vx5000 for 400$ in mint condition with an upgraded boiler that pushes out an extra 20 psi than the original. You can find great deals on craigslist or other sites. I picked up a mytee 8070 for 250$ but didnt use it much and ended up selling it for 800$ :0 ...I used to use the Vx5000 but didnt wanna spend the 1000$ price tag so stuck around with the mcCullochs ...but look for the deals and snag em because they go fast.The Vx5000 does push out alot more steam which is great and like mentioned in the video you can get it more wet if youd like. Do some details with the McCulloch (can charge a little extra for steam) and put away some to the side for your VX fund. Goodluck!

Hi. We still use it to this day! The only we noticed is sometimes the filler cap will fail after a year or so. At least it did on mine. But it’s a $30 cap and easily found on their website. Other than that it’s a beast!! My friend has a chief steamer and it was nice for a while until it started to leak and the customer service was horrible. Vx5000’s customer service is always top notch.
