Hey mate, what would be the general cost of doing a job like this by a mechanic ? I can see coolant slowly trickling up the front of my ecotec engine near where the water pump is... I just changed that water pump about 3 years ago.. Could it be a main seal ? The engine is idling fine and running ok at the moment

I'm guessing a mechanic would charge between $1000 to $2000 and as for the trickling of coolant near the water pump it could just need a new gasket but to be on the safe side I would replace the whole water pump with the new gasket

was it probably just a collapses lifters making it run like shit?? Did u replace them?

Have you tried the relays as they may be a problem
