It's Astro-Blaster with Asteroids mixed in with a touch of Galaxians... very nicely done, what with the box and overlay, I'm meaning to write a game on the Vectrex, I have a vecfever... actually I did create a game myself which has an asteroids section... my game is a version of Star Force if you remember that game, it's on my channel... I actually made it into a real arcade game, cabinet the lot... never went anywhere because I forgot one thing after 8 years of game development... I don't have a budget to advertise, so it died on the vine... it's not actually that bad, if it was a book it would be a very nice read with a nice cover and the odd person might say hey yeah I read that book once... but with games, mine the moment I put it on a virtual bookshelf online it was almost instantly knocked off a buried under an avalanche of zombie games written by Chad in his bedroom over 2 months... you know the score, If I had £2K I'd pay off a KZbinr which a gaming channel to hock my game out... anyway cheers

You can fix your sticky button by taking the joystick apart and using some isopropyl to clean it. Watch a video or read an article on how to it without damaging the label/overlay.

Looks nice, never had a Vectrex, but I knew the machine from friends, and a store that let people play their Asteroids clone to sell them. This game reminds me a bit of Moon Cresta.

Artwork really is so nice ain’t it 😍 & the overlay really does make it pop 👌 It’s crazy at this point there’s probably more home brew/indie releases for it than official releases from back in the day! Home brew scene really is amazing for it 🔥

As a kid growing up in Sydney, I only ever saw the Vectrex once in an upmarket Myer store. I loved the concept of a vector graphic system immediately but didn't have the money to fork out for a second game console, especially since it was double the price of other systems due to its inbuilt monitor. Sadly, Vectrex was poorly received in Australia, I guess because it lacked the colour graphics and game library of other systems such as Atari and Intellivision.
