W 26th Street Little Village : Driving in Southwest side Chicago during Covid 19 pandemic

Driving westbound on 26th Street from Western Avenue to Ogden Avenue surpassing Chicago's storied Little Village Neighborhood. Shelter in Place is still in effect but you see a lot of street activities occuring. Lots of non essential businesses are still closed.Seems like everyone is wearing face masks. Nice and sunny day. Enjoy the ride and stay safe.

My old neighborhood...lived further north on 21st and California. My elementary school, Hammond Elementary, is still there too. Went to Carter Harrison High School on Marshall Blvd, first 2 years until the gangs forced us to move to the burbs. Harrison is still there but now used for other purposes. Really a magnificent building...

Desgraciadamente la villita y el barrio Mexicano se ve muy vacio por lo regular estas calles siempre estan llenas y los negocios a toda su capacidad la gente de un lado a otro siempre ocupada en sus compras y trabajando ojala y q pronto se arregle esta pandemia y q DIOS nos siga bendisiendo como hasta el dia de hoy.
