He does sing live (and you can hear that) and yes he uses backing tracks too, to thicken the sound so the shows sound more like the records. People jump on the bandwagon as soon as an artist says anything about backing tracks and some bands have not helped the cause (looking at you motley crue) but if you get the chance ,go see Wasp, they give a good show

Age, the prolonged stop due to the pandemic, and the fact that Blackie had covid, in my opinion had an impact on Blackie's voice. He, however, wanted to do this tour at all costs, and in order to do so he uses a few backing tracks where he fails with his voice. They also took Hellion out of the set list, in my opinion for this reason.

Still don't know how Blackie fades and tremors, his voice like that, at such a deep level. And still the same at 60 coming up to 70 - what a trooper!

He's the real deal. Real talent doesn't fade away and you can see that with all the greatest voices in music. If Tina Turner can do her last tour at 70 and still sound amazing then I'm sure Blackie can go for at least that long.

@@MxMoondoggie Well I think it depends on your range and clearly Blackie's variation at the lower level is not affected by age,and he doesn't try to operate at The higher pitches like some other artists. Roger Daltrey is similarly singing at high quality, despite being nearly 80, but Paul McCartney and Bruce Dickinson are 2 examples of artists, the former nearly 80 and the latter 65, who both are struggling at higher range, as there formally operatic upper range is starting to sound "whiny" and I've been hoping that they would try to sing at a Slightly lower pitch, to maintain the quallity of the listening experience.But ultimately I guess it is up to them, when you get to their degre of experience, you can pickled choose when to retire and if you're enjoying things yourself, rather than whether the audience Hotelas the best listing experience possible

@@jerrythomas4457 Listen to the original, then listen to these live performances, Blackie is definitely singing and showing great vocal carry and his signature tremor, as its not exactly like the original, but similar.it's possible that there is some backing going on, but even with that, it's very impressive and I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt, because the fact that it's not like the original and any of these tracks, indicates that he may be singing this live

Obviously not live vocals... hard core WASP fan since seeing them open for Iron Maiden in the 80's and even met them during the during the Electric Circus tour. If I want to hear prerecorded vocals, I'll just play the albums. I won't pay to see any band or performer lip sync. 😞

I've Loved this band since I first heard of them.i was probably 13yrs. I got this for Christmas!! And it was THEE ONLY FUCKEN THING BESIDES THE WALKMAN CASSETTE PLAYER .I WAS SO DESPERATE TO LISTEN TO THE FIRST WASP!! AND IT WAS AND STILL IS A FUCKEN CLASSIC!! EVERY FUCKEN SONG KICKS ASS !!
