“Her silver laughter rings out from early morn til late at night - YEAH! What a brilliant scene and comedian, his banter with his movie wives reminds me of my own (just one of course) who usually has all the words whilst I mutter in undertone my rebuttal, concluding with Field’s obligatory “Yes dear!”

I have lots of favorite comedians, from silents to present day. Amongst all of them, there's something unique about W.C. Fields. I can't stop laughing out loud. Some part of me says "Come on, that's not really all that funny." And I have friends who absolutely don't think he's funny at all. Is it just his timing? I don't know. I can't explain it. But I think he's hilarious.

In one of his films he was trying to impress a wealthy woman. She asked if he played croquet. His reply “ah yes , saw a game in Paris, many people were killed “. Then later while attempting to play, he trips on a wicket and fumes,”what lazy lout left these wires all over the lawn”? Sooo funny.

It's all in how you do it. I would drive home, honk the horn and stomp up the front steps. My wife would be in bed and I would slap her ass and say, "How about it, sweetheart!" She always pretended to be asleep. In other words, grow some balls!
