Since we used a dehumidifier in the loft for a couple of days and regularly after shower at night, the moisture in the loft has been reduced greatly! Opening the roof light helped as well. Trying to avoid another project😂🤪

剛剛正想問，發現大部分英國嘅屋，Bathroom 都唔多見有「抽氣扇」Exhaust Fan。 係咪因為天氣太凍唔會裝？BTW, 上次 呢個channel 嘅Q&A 都有人問及 「浴室寶」,呢個正正就係抽氣加暖風機嘅Hybrid 混合產物。（不過個人認為抽風效果麻麻，要暖的話，英國屋廁所都有Radiator. 所以應該用不著。

@@Calvin_Yip totally agree with the radiator. We don't have a fan on the bathroom, we just open the window after shower and turn on dehumidifier of needed. It works just fine for now.

我以前在香港一間極高級的酒店做工程師直接到退休.這種情形長長發生在樓底和假天花之間.最便宜的方法是装把風扇24小時運作.如有可能有少少空隙位比空氣circulation.當然亦可裝dehumidifier但要考慮電費及drain pipe.這是我們一直以來都是這樣做的亦非常有効.可以試試

用1:99漂白水清潔就ok，另外處理condensation我諗加抽氣扇令到閣樓有cross ventilation或簡單Ｄ加個香港好多人用的浴室寶應該都ok，因有抽濕，濕度低冇咁易有condensation。 另外見你show d detials, 好懷念year 1上堂學的house structure and details。

既然有個天窗，可加個有細綱的 ROOF 通風 "口” 就得啦。 風由屋頂邊入，再由新加通風口出。屋頂便保持乾爽，不會有 霉. GOOD. LUCK

Good job Canaan! Ah Wai is very knowledgeable and technical. Your videos provide a lots of practical information and realistically present normal life in UK. We have similar roof structure in Canada with some differences in materials used, for majority of house structure it's wood frame instead of brick wall. Also, Instead of felt, we use a layer of waterproof membrane on pile wood under the roof tiles. Thank you again.

迦嵐同亞偉，那應是木板遇潮，三個方法頂住當，一出報纸覆蓋，二係出封箱膠纸全貼，三係油油。當然有孔有裂要節膠。

我間屋做了loft conversation, 就因為屋頂太短，最後要把二樓ceiling lowered來增加高度，比較大工程。而且加多了一間房，全屋要再inspect, 要合乎消防規定。原本要求地下已經打通了的廳，要間返一邊wall. 好彩後來building regulation 容許只要有fire door 和夠smoke alarm 都ok。同埋好depends 原本landing有冇位加stairs.

@Wai Yin Sammy Lau, 應該唔會，我係英國差不多二十年，四年前搬到德國o 系英國未起過樓但現住梗間屋就係2 0年6月搬入，間屋壳系1 9年十二月份起的。十二月系我個地區多雨、多雪，而且好凍。建築商會等個壳乾返再進行下一步工程。註:我系英國時但嗰間樓系1902年起的，如懂一般舊樓保養，我就喜歡舊樓。

I had the same problem in my loft one month ago. I top up the insulation and insult the hatch door as well to ensure no warm air get into the loft, especially from the bathroom. Apart from Dehumidifier, blower surprising work well to dry up the whole area

My house- Edinburgh (1958) ,have very good ventilation and no moss. However, the gutter maybe too old and got little wet in our room ceiling when it is heavy raining. We paid $2000 pounds to a guy to fix it (last Dec). However, he made our window scratch and still have some water leaks (little) in our room at the moment. We approached him again but have no response. Very bad guy we met in Scotland.

You have a window, can you open a small gap enough for some air through. Some windows you can still lock it, but leave a small gap opened.

Hi your roofing felt looks in very good condition but its the old type non breathable thats why you have problems, but you are doing a great job to solve them, you can get vent tiles put into your roof 👍
