The battletech format I like to play is Clan Invasion, 5 omnimechs + 5 elementals (as torso protection and initiative sinks later on) vs 12 succession wars mechs. I guess those forces are good examples of Tall and Wide respectively. Lucky hits can switg things fast in favour of the IS forces, because the Clan force just has so much less material to work with.

@@jonbezeau3124 ya that is a danger of going tall in Battletech. If u get 2 unlucky headshots suddenly the enemy outnumbers you 3-1.

I just checked it out, and SOVL is free on Steam for the base, and $5 each for any of the DLCs. So, this should be a lot of fun, and I'm going to buy some rats for my birthday.
