woah, one of the only good apple executive interviews. Thanks for actually asking good questions instead of just sucking up to them like 99 percent of other interviews.

We intend to deliver best product at Apple作为开头,然后”反正我们做过权衡,这就是目前最好的选择“😂

Great to see Apple recognize you guys with this interview. Although I'm kinda disappointed Srouji is too well media trained, he answered all the questions without revealing anything new lol
The interview started out strongly, but Srouji’s answers got weaker as the interview went on and he kept repeating himself. The questions were very good. I think a question about Apple Modems would be nice, as another commentator suggested. This was some of the toughest questioning I’ve seen of an Apple exec in recent times.

讲到iPhone比如说散热不足和电池大小的痛点的时候,感觉被采访人已经有一套标准话术了:“You want to build the BEST product to give the best experience for users.” They are NOT the best product.
If you can tell, whats it like working at Apple Park creating that awesome microprocessor tech? Secretive? Fun? Intense? Are objectives set by upper management, or are you able to free roam a bit and develop your areas of interest or your hunches? Thanks in advance!

I was curious how they pitched the 16 line as "the first iPhones designed for Apple Intelligence", but the neural engine on paper is only flat from 35TOPS in the A17 Pro. In what way is this more designed for AI then? More bandwidth which makes it 15% faster, but what else really?

maybe because now instead of just the pro model being able to run it, its the entire lineup? more ram? 🤔

Mr. Srouji"s reiteration (and reiteration) of the best product/experience outcome versus individual component/system development begs a question: How does Apple shepard/direct this holistic product/system/app development process? They have a large staff of very talented, independent thinking, and opinionated people working on various pieces of the puzzle. Not to mention deadlines. That's secret sauce to me. Thanks for the very interesting interview!
Ironically, I'm watching this on one of my old phones running a Snapdragon 810 😂 With that said, excellent interview. Apple execs are always tight-lipped and media trained. You did get him to admit the regular iPhone this year has 8gb of ram. They never admit ram size
The interviewer was prepared but this interview with Srouji was boring. No fault of Geekerwan. But hearing, “goes back to our principles of designing and building the best product,” was monotonous. Everything Srouji said was already known. The only new addition there is, ‘camera control’ and ‘A18 and A18 Pro.’ Not really insightful. Good on Geekerwan for securing an interview with this dude though. Nice presentation.
