I have a friend that owns an .44 Automag, and have shot it a few times. I thought it was easy to control, the recoil was a bit heavy, but when using two hands it was enjoyable. He made sure to collect all of the empty cartridges because .44 Auto is extremely hard to find. The big difference when shooting magnum cartridges isn't just the bullet diameter, but more of a function of projectile weight x bullet speed. Other factors such as the burn rate of the propellant and length of the barrel do add or subtract from the equation a little bit.

I've heard that the reason the original .44 Auto Magnum had such a bad reputation was because it was made out of stainless steel. Is it true🤔❓

@@ルドーレイジ Original "手作り" good quality. Few post bankruptcy "新 Automag co." guns suffered QC issues like galling. Use of stainless was still fairly novel at the time.
