I REALLY thought that our Celtics were gonna hold that tough L in the clutch against the Pacers, mainly because of our HORRIBLE defensive showcase overall, but THANKFULLY, THE ENERGY SHIFTER JB CAME IN CLUTCH AS THE UNLIKELY HERO for the first time in his playoff career with less than 10 seconds left in the 4th quarter/overtime as he drained that contested corner 3 over Pascal Siakam to tie things up at 117 💥💥! And then our clutch defense in the final regulation play shut down Tyrese Haliburton in order to force OT! And then in OT, FOREVER AGE 19 JT took over BIG TIME, heading into the final minute of that OT period, when he sinked in that WICKED HUGE 3 to put us by 4 with 42.9 seconds left! And then, Derrick D-DADDY ALL-DEFENSIVE TEAM DADDY D-White was able to get open inside for the dagger with 25.2 left! And then, some more clutch free throws from JT & our other 2024 ALL-DEFENSIVE TEAM member, "THE JRUETH" Jrue Holiday, were FINALLY able to put it all away and help our C's secure this insanely intense game 1 W! I REALLY had anxiety attacks all over my body during these clutch moments, I'm not gonna lie, but thankfully, all that frustration was finally erased mainly thanks to the GREEN JAYS, who just recorded their 16th playoff game scoring 25+ points each, which is one game behind Larry Bird & Kevin McHale (they had 17). Boston has also become the first team in the history of the NBA playoffs with 3 players with 25+ points and 3+ steals. Jayson Tatum had 36 points & 3 steals. Jrue Holiday had 28 points & 3 steals. Jaylen Brown had 26 points & 3 steals. All 3 also had 7+ rebounds & 4+ assists. This is Boston's first OT win in this year's playoffs as their playoff win streak against Indiana extends to 5 games (including the 2019 1st round sweep by Boston). We did a WICKED GREAT JOB of successfully holding on & overpowering Indy's offense in the clutch, and now, it's onto game 2 on Thursday! 9 W'S DOWN! 7 TO GO!
