I give you much respect to go to both sides to learn for yourself. What you discribed when you said "we are this there for we vote for Harris" is what we call "blue no matter who". I would not vote for Harris but when the topic came up I plain dumb and asked her supporters about policies about the rising prices and rising crime. I never got an answer but on those issues but always told Harris supports womens rights. This only refers to abortions with little to no restrictions. I would think a woman being able to afford rent/food and being able to safely walk down the street and night would be more important. American or not you have an open mind and curiosity to learn for your self and I hope you do become a citizen so you can vote. Even if you vote were to opposite than me at least it was after looking at it and making your own decision not what the media tell you. What ever a comment from a stranger online might mean to you, I want say I hope there are more and more intelligent open and minded people comparing sides.

Thank you for your video! Thank you so much for going to both rallies. Objectivity is a precious resource, easy to lose and difficult to renew, and many people throw it away willingly just because it feels satisfying to reinforce your own emotions (especially anger) with information and ideas cherrypicked to do just that. As much as I try not to, I have still done it. I want to reverse the damage, and never be stuck in my ways. So naturally I want to be open-minded. But I've also heard of a few studies that indicate that people who claim to be or try to be open-minded are no more likely to be open-minded. So I do what I can. I try to seek out and understand my own cognitive dissonance and never hide from it. I have no idea how successful I have been. I didn't go to any rallies. But the one I was more aligned with, more likely to go to, was the one you said laid out a more evidence-based and less identity-based explanation for how they voted. I am proud of that. I will try not to be so proud that I trust myself too much and become more closed-minded. But I am encouraged to hear "my" party's members described that way. I truly hope the rest of your stay in America was lovely!

as an aussie looking at this entire thing from the outside i can tell you you about to find out how badly effed you guys are and not because of trump in fact he really is your last hope , the biden admin caused so much damage to tho only america but the rest of the world and kept it from you all , ukraine ukraine has been losing from day 1 , and as of a week ago ukrainian lines have been falling insanely fast now , its that bad trump cant sanction putin because of BRIKS he cant uswe the us military because fallout 4 irl dlc , e has no option is to deal and at this moment he has no bargaining chips he really has no chioce but to give putin what he wants and theres not much we can do about it , putin dosnt want all of ukraine he never did and thats another lie you got told , e only wants the russian orthadox east who want to be russian and ukraine were persecuting since before 2014 , you cant subjugate an unwilling population anymore without being bogged in an insurgency and putin wants to avoid that , then on top of that he has " the only 4 years " argument : bet don this is only of 4 years what if they steal another election then we are back to square 1 , nah im winning i think ill just finish it . india im hoping modi's threat to join briks was more because in india women are subservient to men and kamala out ranking modi would be seen as a cultural insult and now trumps in we might get to keep them as an allie , saudi arabia when biden realized he made a massive boo boo stopping the keystone pipeline he got on tv and announced he was going to saudi arabia and tell them what for and hold the crown prince accountable for some assanation but when he got there he was sat down like a naughty child a read the riot act by the princes staff and sent home packing with the message " no oil for the wok or green " , im hpoing like with modi their threat to join briks was an idle threat hedging their bets on who won and again they were probably not too happy with dealing with a woman , companies companies spent a lot of money reinvesting in te us just to get started and biden gets in and kills off any benefit of the being there only to lose out and go back to where they were before and they have that same argument : but thats only , what happens when , nah i think we are better off here . inflation is a direct result of fuel prices caused bu the biden admin as well as over spending , from nixon to trump the national debt only got to 15 tril dollars , under biden it went up to 34 tril and counting 1 tril ever 100 days this has devalued the us dollar and in turn devalued a number of other countries money as well causing inflation in most western countries , with the fuel when biden stopped the keystone pipeline and insulted the saudis fuel became scace and therefore expensive , bidens excuse whhen it really hit the fan fuel price wise was keystone was 2 years away from completion when i stopped it ,,,, but that was 2 years after he stopped it , everything goes on a truck atleast once everything that goes on a truck the fuel is factored in to the shipping cost , take a can of tomatoes , the farmer uses a tractor burning fuel to plow the field and again to sow the crop an then again to fertilize and also to bug spray the fuel from the tractor is factored among other things gets factored in to the sale price to the cannery , a truck will come pick up the harvest and take it to the cannery and theres fuel in that shipping cost so is for the trucks delivering things like the tins and labels , say a supermarket chain buys 10 pallets of tinned tomatoes and of course a truck will come and pick them up and take them to a distribution center using fuel and again factored on to the shipping costs , from there the pallets will be split down in to orders for your local chain where again shipping costs on a truck and if the fuel is expensive so will the transport costs its not price gouging and never was , you could have hhad the last 2 years with ultra cheap fuel and therefore really cheap groceries if trump got is secont term but now its more like 3 years after repairs to get the pipe going , hopfully the saudis are more receptive to trump BRIKS briks is an economic allies thats a pseudo defense pact since rissia and china stated they would stand up against western bullying on briks nations , there are now 40 plus nations in briks and counting , the major idea of briks is to have an alternative to the petrodolar , us hegemony , the swift system , us sanctions and sovereign debt , again here you cant sanction since they just deal with briks and is about as intimidation as a hippy threatening to punch someone in their hora , you cant use military threats because all the proper soldiers left in disgust at the pull out from afghanistan leaving a skeleton crew of the un fit and the woke because they are desperate , and then theres russia and china, so again trump cant wave a big stick but do that art of the deal thing and even ther they have the same argument : but bla bla , and what happens woof wof , nah were are out from under your thumb i think we are fine here thanks , you night say yeah see ya but the problem is you really do need them because of the sovereign debt sure its was unfair and cripplingly perpetual but it was a giant chunk of your gdp and was effectively using your renters to pay your mortgage and now you dont have that , and thats just a start

Also, they see the normalization of diplomatic relations with communist Vietnam in 1994 under Bill Clinton as treason to them. Most high-ranking South Vietnamese officials who were able to flee Vietnam in 1975 are still alive, and can still sway public opinion. I think you would've made a much different decision had you done your research on economics and each parties respective' legislative policies. I mean, scratch that, does Trumps character and all of his actions not bother you? Him being close friend-associates with Epstein? His 26 SA allegations across the span of several decades? Him trying to overturn the 2020 election and refusing a peaceful transfer of power? Jan6? His heavy ties with Putin? With all due respect, Biden did an amazing job with the economy. Trumps policies during his 2016 administration, coupled with Covid are the reason for current economic conditions. But Biden handled it extremely well and lead us out of a recession. Many of his policies, including the Chips and Science Act boosted the economy and created lots of jobs. If you blame everything bad that happens on the current administration in office then you don't understand economics. Its a typical false causation-correlation fallacy. None of Trumps policies helped the economy, and things like his trade war with China actually destroyed entire industries that had to then be bailed out by the government. He was handed a good economy by Obama and he ruined it, especially with his response with Covid. This time, his dramatically high tariffs are going to be implemented all across the board, and its going to inflate prices dramatically. If your close ones already can't afford basic necessities, then they're going to be screwed when Trump gets inaugurated to office. Especially if your close ones rely on government services like Social Security and Medicare, which Trump is going to massively cut. I'm sorry you were mislead and didn't do the proper research. Though its not like your one vote would've changed the outcome. Pray for your close ones and family, and stock up on supplies before Trump is put in office, cause we're about to go through some depression era conditions.

It showed a profound lack of contemplation, intelligence, and leadership. Even Biden, with the benefit of hindsight, could identify what he would have done differently. I'm an Indian, and I've worked with liberal white people (British) and made friends with 'racist' Americans. Can you guess who's the better bunch? One of my closest friends is a former neo-Nazi. The passive-aggressiveness of liberals comes out much more than they think it does. There's just something so uncanny about them. I recently read an article from a psychology expert who did a great job in explaining this stuff in brief. Liberalism is a result of rage repression, whereas conservatism is often a result of pain repression. This is why the former can be so shockingly spiteful.

virtually all journalism in America has been advertising for at least 2 decades. They peddle influence for billionaire owners. The small reporters doing work in the basement still have bias, but it is no where near as dangerous as the corporations. Among the large company's who have reach, actively pushing their content to you, there is much consolidation of power, %75+ pushing in the same direction saying the same untruths, no longer reflecting reality but attempting to shape. Some pundits said Kamala might sweep "win" all the battleground states, when it fact it is looking like she will lose all of them. It also appears many of the big polling agencies blatantly misrepresented data. ( not a new trend, and again an attempt to influence rather than inform) . A German friend visited several years ago. His English is excellent but sounds a little like an Englishman versus an American. He went to a Trump rally in 2020. No issues, no problems, and no one said anything derogatory to him. About two weeks later he went to Biden rally near where he was staying in Maryland. They wouldn't let him into the rally as he wasn't a local with local ID. Then after he talked a security guy explaining he was a visitor from Germany (showed his passport) and he managed to get a pass. So, he goes in and realizes that hardly anyone is in the Civic Center, maybe about 200 people. He talks to a few of them and they're a bit disappointed that it's not like energy they see at a Trump rally on TV. He mentions he went to a Trump rally out of curiosity, and they ask how bad it was. He said everyone was polite, very attentive to his questions, and there was a lot less acrimonious than a typical German political rally, which can get very emotional and sometimes physical. They thought that Trump's rallies were hate sessions against foreigners, illegals, and people of color. He never heard or saw any real virulence against other people, just complaints by some in attendance that illegals were taking up local resources. He told the people at the Biden rally that a fair number of Hispanics, some Blacks, and several Asians were in attendance at the Trump rally in Texas. He said the Biden rally was kind of let down as there was little energy and Biden attended on TV for about 20 minutes (not in person). At least at Trump rallies, Trump was there in person for a couple of hours. That was the difference, Trump made you feel the energy, his presence, and he seemed to listen to people. Biden, not so much. It was a speech and done.

The MAGA voters are anti-establishment and usually anti-war, many of them don’t really care for typical establishment Republicans politics. I would think is the same on both sides. There are no sides actually, just miscommunication and too much use of marketing for various purposes which in change puts a lot more attention than it should on exceptions or rare and extremist people or ideas. The majority of decent everyday people tend to keep to themselves. So only the odd ones tent to get noticed more. Which is overall kind of idiotic but it is like that everywhere and from pretty much always. Makes sense, you are out of the ordinary you get noticed because you stand out. And in a world where mass communication is fast end easy and that has plenty of monetary incentives where attracting attention, eyeballs on you, is profitable. Well, we have this shit show. It kind of makes me think that maybe we do need different approaches. And what i'm thinking might work but also has plenty of potential issues if not done properly or with sincere intentions. Something like where you have to be allowed, to deserve that role of presenting news. And everyone else is not allowed to do that, to call it that. You can only do entertaining if you want but not news. And those news people be completely free, have immunity and protection like politicians, their activity paid by the State without conditions. To really be the 4th power in State, independent and able.

Thank you Ungjin, for your bravery in learning the truth, and for being a rational, positive person. You make America a better place.

This intelligent observant young man is describing two sides of America. One side loves America and wants to preserve it, the other side wants to change America. Excellent content.

The scary part is that depending on your news "source" or perspective, this is unclear which side is which. Scary because it shows a very clear possibility that is intentional. Scary if true because who is benefitting from dividing us into Red vs. Blue? Not Red, and not Blue. If there is truth to it.

And the folks that want “change,” have no idea what that “change” will actually be. They won’t like it, if we get there. Guaranteed.

Unfortunetly, those who "love America", and "want to preserve it", are supporting the most dangerous and radically destructive candidate in the history of the country, who will destroy American democracy and leave the country unrecognizable, if he gets his way. Your faith is misplaced.

Thank you for your honest personal overview of your experience. We are not racist or any of that. We have been dumped on for two long and have reached a tipping point…we WILL be heard. We will NOT let the country we love and the memories of family who died to defend her be tarnished or trampled on any longer. This is America brother and ALL who respect the process are welcome to the MAGA family. Cheers 🍻

Thank you for taking the intellectual approach to your journey into American politics. I agree with everything you said. I used to be a Democrat but saw that I was being lied to about virtually everything. It was such a cult that if you disagree about even the smallest thing they become enraged and crazy to the point of absurdity. As a conservative I find level headed reasoning and patriotism for the sake of the people and their individual prosperity prevails as the common thread bringing us together. Thank you again brother for your evenhanded and moral take on our politics in the USA. I wish Much love and success to you my brother!

The people who chose a criminal rapist are cult worshippers. Of course they choose Trump over their country and are the most unpatriotic beings. Imagine choosing someone who promises to jail his political opponents and use the military on US citizens. If all his four star generals and world renowned economists denounce him, then who in their right mind would pick someone who lost money on a casino and went bankrupt six times despite a half a billion dollars inheritance? Anyway, they're only using him for his popularity. If (God forbids) he gets in, they're pulling Amendment 25 and putting JD Vance in place.

I could not agree more. I was in the same boat. I'm happy to see things for the way they are and not just what the fake bias news wants me to see. I will be voting Trump for he has common sense and loves America.

"It was such a cult that if you disagree about even the smallest thing they become enraged and crazy to the point of absurdity." I'm an independent moderate and I've gotten that from both sides. That element always exists in any group, sadly.

Yea and when Trump stood on stage and made a joke about an assassin shooting reporters, the crowd all laughed. Truely not garbage behavior right? Or the supporters who made a parade float of Kamala in chains? Or the literal Nazis in the MAGA boat parade in Florida? Yes the comedian made the joke about Puerto Rico being garbage...but who laughed and cheered?

Well spoken young man. I appreciate your willingness to listen dispassionately. I really like near the end when you observe that both groups have areas they could agree on if they weren't so divided. In this, you are singing my kind of music. I hope you keep your willingness to listen and learn. Thank you for sharing. BTW, my first election was Jimmy Carter and Ronald Regan.
