I made a Wabeco BF1240 Review but the newest findings are precious, so I share them.

Happy with my Metabo BDE 1100 - 2 gears that is nice for larger drill bits. I have not measured it - probably going to after this video but it fit like a glove and work like a beast.

I have the same drill stand and I am in the process of buying the DUSS drill -- I am glad I decided to spend more for the DUSS and not get the Fein (which was my second option). Once it arrives hopefully it will fit well. Thank you for this video, it was invaluable!

Thanks for all your research and efforts to explain these findings. Do you think Wabeco BF 1240 together with Duss B 13/2 RLE 2-SPEED ROTARY DRILL would make a good (near perfect?) combination? That’s a conclusion I make based on your observations. Thanks!

Its not easy to say. The Duss B13/2 has one of the most precise necks. Only Fein is capable of producing that precision too. I couldn`t test how the DUSS and Wabeco BF1240 would perform together. But I dont think its near perfect because the machine holder of the BF1240 isnt that good. At that point I sold the BF1240, because with a DUSS KB43 you get almost perfect precision. Personally I would always try to get drill stands and machines in used but decent condition with lower prizes. The Duss B13/2 is pretty expensive and is hard to get used. But I found for example an older drilling machine like the Metabo BE620 which has a pretty accurate neck. Chances are good that modern machines of metabo still are precise. They still offer the BE620 but now under the name BE 75-16. But this is a special machine for special tasks. Maybe a machine like a BE 850-2 is more interesting.

Could you make a review of Duss B 13/2 RLE drill? Is it practical? Can you easily vary speed?

@Baerenson2 жыл бұрын
Sehr sehr preiswert eingekauft!

Did you ever solve the issue with the Inca table saw? I recently purchased one and it has the same issue. Stripped it down but can’t see what is stopping the table raising to its full extent. It stops in the same position as yours did. Thanks, Ken.
@Baerenson2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ken, I disassembled the Inca Table Saw and noticed that the mechnism reached its final potential . I don`t own this table saw anymore, but its a fine one. The height scala is just cosmetic. There is no further way the height mechnism can go. The only thing you can do, is taking a bigger blade what still fits the table. There are also bigger versions with a cast iron table.
@kenhealy82342 жыл бұрын
@@Baerenson Thanks for the info, i did manage to make it raise to its highest point but can’t make the blade retract fully into the table. Hope to enjoy it regardless. Good luck!

@@kenhealy8234 Nice. What did you make different?
@kenhealy82342 жыл бұрын
@@Baerenson just stripped it to a similar level you did in your video, cleaned away any rust and dirt and did a bit of lubrication and it raised to its limit. I reckon the blade should drop fully into the body for safety when using the mortise accessories but can’t figure out what is blocking the movement. Will give it another go when I have some spare time.

@Baerenson2 жыл бұрын

Don`t understand the problem at all. I do own the Wabeco and i have used it with 3 differnt machines already, including Bosch blue. I do not had any problem.

happened to me today. if you drill wood or aluminium you'll have no problems. today i tried to make a hole in a thick steel plate and noticed that it can't hold the drill well, the drill slips out of the holder :(

agree.. any recommendation of a decent drill without impact (tried already and discarded Hikoki D13VL) which has torque and concentricity ?

you ref to Metabo SBE 850-2 ? (if so that's an impact drill...though)
@haibike33405 ай бұрын
No the SBE 85, and its not a special impact drill machine.
