Awesome video Ken......I'm actually watching this sitting at my campground outside of Spearfish, South Dakota. Some of the best small stream fishing I've ever seen.....what's even better is that during the week, you could possibly be the only angler out here for miles in the Black Hills. Been catching 20 to 30 an hour.....some small, some 14 to 15" but it's the fun of it that counts. Keep the videos coming!!

Nice! You want some small stream action then you should peep my Utah "Pocket Water" video I just posted! That's some of the best small stream pocket water in the country! I would be shocked if you saw 2 anglers all day as well. I have only fished SD one time. Black Hills is an awesome area for sure!

Dude, love your videos first off and have been following you for a couple of years on KZbin. Also, I'm literally sitting here in Cali planning a week long trip this next week up to Eastern Idaho including Henry's Fork and I decide to "take a break" and see if anyone's uploaded new vids and here you post a brand new vid showing off exactly where I'm headed! Anyways, looks like you had a great trip! Keep up the great footage for all of us forced to work instead of fish.

That's coincidental that you're looking to book a trip and I just posted this video. Hope it helps you make a decision. You definitely can't go wrong with the Henry's Fork. Like I mentioned you should definitely stop by Henry's Fork Angler. Incredible shop and they are extremely helpful. I would highly recommend a float trip. Try to get Colton if possible. He will put you on some fish for sure. I would also try to talk to Scott and Shawn. They know their bugs out there. For a place to eat you can't go wrong with FloStop! We ate there 3 nights! Practically the only place to eat around there! Great burgers and awesome staff. Don't forget to mention Wish4Fish for a discount! Good luck on your trip and tight lines!

+Ryan Fuller - Yeah! That's the one. Those hurt. Worked really hard to get both of them to take in the first place. Then to have one break off and one shake me off. That first fish was a +20in'r for sure.

Nice video!! You should try going to Galloups Slide Inn next year if you head out there. I go there every year and the fishing is EXCEPTIONAL. Me and my dad usually catch several browns over 20 each time

I highly suggest you hitting up Henry's Fork Angler fly shop. I know everyone in there so mention that I sent ya and they will take good care of you for sure! They will be able to tell you the best flies and the best spots for sure.

Awesome video. love Idaho and Utah fishing. Check out south fork of snake river, Harriman state park. and for utah the Weber river or green River if you can make it out there. heck just hit every blue ribbon stream here :)

I had to postpone my float on the Green. It was blown out from the dam release for the Squawfish. It was running over 9100 cfs. I will be back out there soon enough. Wait to see my Utah video. Best pocket water in the country!

The ONLY guide service that you want to use is Henry's Fork Angler! The first one there and the best one there! Tell them I sent you and they will take good care of you for sure! I would ask to be guided by Colton Schofield if he's busy ask for Tyler Treece. Really anyone there will be great and put you on some fish so you can't go wrong.

Hey Ken, Is it worth fishing through Box Canyon area if you're hiking/wading and NOT gonna float it?

I would skip it if you're wading. The water runs super fast through there so you can't wade out far and you're stuck close to the bank. Which makes it hard to cast. There is one place in the Canyon you might want to check out. It's where this feeder stream meets the Fork just above Box Canyon Campground. I believe it's Elk Creek. There is parking and easy access to the stream. It opens up a bit and you can get some fish in the eddies there. Plus there is enough room to wade out a bit and cast towards the middle. I would use a deep drop shot nymph set up and cast into the fast current. You can catch some smaller fish on dries in the back eddies. I wouldn't spend too much time there though. Plenty of better water to wade.

We are heading up that way early August and gonna fish the Madison, and He been but drive past Ashton and figured we would try something other than Henrys this time. Then hopefully make it to Slough and maybe North Fork Shoshone on the way back to Utah.......Any " Gotta do's" you can suggest? Thanks man! LOVE everything you're doing! Keep it up!!

Wait... if you're driving past then why just Box Canyon? Below that in the lower Henry's Fork the wading fishing is incredible! By then you can fish the Ranch! Plus anything above Vernon Bridge is awesome! Or even above Fun Farm.
