If greys ended at season 5 or season 6 with izzie and alex getting married and go to kansas and live in a farm. Merder getting married with a kid with derek moving to boston, George leaving for the army and cristina and owen going to germany or europe innovating hospitals, Bailey becomes chief and richard steps down.... that would have been perfect and made the show more legendary rather than dragging it for 11 more seasons

I don't think I could upvote this enough honestly. I fell off Greys Anatomy because they don't know how to write off good characters (Mark, Lexi, George, Dereck, almost Izzie.) Without killing them. It's sloppy writing and makes me go..what was the point in them even being introduced? Lol. Ending it after season 6 with enough suspense, (George leaving, Izzie almost dying but pulling through, Webber stepping down FINALLLLLY, Bailey stepping up, meredith and Dereck getting secretly but intimately married and Christina moving on to greener pastures would've been perfect. The other characters are secondary to them. MAGIC should've reigned throughout and the series should've ended with them.

@Caleb Mayfield sometimes killing them off is the only way to stay true to the character because they never would have just left. Not all of them but I can’t specify which ones without giving you spoilers for seasons you haven’t watched yet. George could have just joined the army and left that way but in his case the actor that plays George specifically asked Shonda to kill the character. I feel for you though, it must be hard to binge all those deaths, I watched them slowly over time since the show started and it was still so sad.

Alex, Cristina, Mark literally abused and humiliated people for no reason and Meredith was a total bitch to Amelia, Lexie, Maggie, April and a bitch to Jo for 2 years just because she dared to have a relationship with her precious bestie and still you have the hypocritical audacity to talk crap about Izzie??!! Mark Sloan screwed his tennis teacher's wife and his best friend's wife only to cheat on her in New York and come back in Seattle by being a hypocrite to Derek..Meredith begged a married man to leave his wife,a wife who was a family for 11 years and not a clown Vegas wife and after Derek specifically asked her to give him time to think about his marriage and after she reassured Addison that she had nothing to worry about because she was dating the vet but she screwed her husband at the prom anyway..Karev screwed an unstable patient and a married woman with a memory loss..Webber was screwing a married woman for years and he screwed a child's home for nothing only to cheat on his wife again when she was sick.. Izzie and Cristina always had such an underrated friendship. The two of them were such a good team. From performing the unauthorised biopsy and organ harvest together, competing against each other at cardio, Cristina sticking by her when Izzie cut the LVAD, to Izzie telling Cristina first that she had cancer. I think it was more than Izzie knowing Cristina could keep the secret - she trusted her and probably held her dearer than any of the others at that point, even George, even being polar opposites they connected so well. I love the fact that she made Cristina her maid of honour, the two of them were such a good duo

In this moment everything was so perfect! Alex and Izzie were together and we didn’t hate izzie yet, George was still alive, Cristina’s still here, Derek is alive and Merder is going strong, Mark and Lexie are alive and together, and Calzona is together! Every couple is perfect the only one missing is Japril but they haven’t been introduced yet. I miss when things were perfect like in this beautiful scene 😭
