Why do people want dogs if they just chain them up and forget about them? It makes absolutely no sense!!! No shelter, too hot or too cold, no water, no food, and most of all no attention. It's very sad.

Maddie Sierra you may have misunderstood my comment, or I may have misunderstood yours. All I said is why do people get dogs if they are not going to take care of them? They let them run loose when they should be kept inside. Why chain them up outside and just ignore them? That makes no sense!! An animal needs lots of attention and love!! They should be treated as one of the family, and live indoors with you. Some people just chain them up outside with no shelter from the rain or snow or whatever, or leave them with no food or water! They don't belong outside!!! If they would do the right thing in the first place, the poor animal would not have to go to a shelter. I think it is very sad that people are so stupid, and have no common sense!

Omg. That woman was a total btch. She probably needs her kids checked by CPS because she didn't seem stable. As for her dogs, I feel bad for them. Doesn't the btch realize she's endangering them by letting them go out unsupervised. Makes me sick. As for the other dogs left in the heat, especially the one tethered, they should be taken away from the low lives keeping them. Just not giving them water is evil and if their owners are in fact dealers, I hope they get jailed. Bless the rescuers for their work in these dangerous situations.

@gerardinecizmar7 жыл бұрын
Velfeti Why do you have to tether the dogs until they go to the bathroom? Can't you walk them? Dogs need mental stimulation and exercise. They need to go places and see things just like people. Disabled people still walk their dogs. If they're disobedient, tethering them isn't going to help. It's just going to make them more frustrated ,depressed,and more disobedient. Walk them. It's better for you and them. I don't know what breed they are but unless you have teacup chihuahuas, they need a workout. I have a yard that my dog doesn't even want to go to the bathroom in and he's never left alone in it or tethered. He's used to walking.

Gerardine Cizmar me and my friends found a dog running around on a busy road and when we approached it it would run so we waited until it was a little more like, confident and it eventually approached us so we fed it a snack we then started to look for what house it came from and there was one house we approached and the dog sprinted after us and sat by the door, we fed it some more whilst one of us knocked in the door and just like this a woman in the video. a woman just opened the door and grabbed it by the scruff of its neck and slammed the door. . no thanks if didn't even have a collar and she had no idea it was loose. .. people like this should not be allowed to own animals.

I would lay a wager that if you could get into that woman's house, you would find NO FORMULA for the infant! It's so crazy to me that such a beautiful setting (bright green grass, mature trees, wide streets) has such dilapidated houses and is clearly the poorer part of town. Americans you don't know how lucky you are - poor people where I live are crammed into tiny tenement blocks with no yard, no trees or grass outside, on narrow dirty streets.

@MrPikasparks7 жыл бұрын
Luculencia trust me, we have shit like this everywhere in America. Many people don't take care of their home here.
@Luculencia7 жыл бұрын
+Lena Oxton they won't get any better conditions until the population decreases - there isn't the space to give everyone a yard which is why the tenement blocks were built (the government builds better housing now but many are still in tenements due to LONG - many years / decades - waiting lists on housing). The few poor people that do have larger houses and yards have usually inherited them from parents / grandparents who were able to afford them because there was more space for everyone back then (smaller population = more land per person). Now you have to be pretty damn rich to even have a small garden - some houses / apartments go for the equivalent of a million dollars (or more) and many of those only have a small terrace / patio or balcony. This place is slowly turning into Hong Kong - everything built now is a high rise that blocks light to the streets below. Land is at a premium here and investors have figured it out and make it worse every year for the residents :/ And yet people are stupid and keep having more than 2 kids. They don't seem to care that their kids are either going to have to leave the territory or live in a tiny box when they grow up :/ Sorry for writing a novel - the shortened version is simply that land area does not increase (or at least, not much, there's only so much sea one can reclaim before it becomes too deep to do so) and population is still increasing every year.

No WA2S team member has ever been bitten in the decade we've been doing this. Not even close - we tend to be over cautious - it just takes once - we know a thing or two about stray dogs, because we've seen a thing or two about stray dogs.

@66hobgoblin815 жыл бұрын
OliviaO. You have much to learn about tail wagging O.O. Just watch a German Shepherd police dog when it has taken someone down. The tail is going nineteen to the dozen. A better indication of a dogs intentions is to watch it's ears. Ears laid back is a sign, but not a guaranteed sign, that the dog is either fearful of you, (timid dogs are prone to snapping ) protecting its space , protecting its pups or is simply a people agressive dog.

I remember I worked a UPS seasonal job in high school and my route was assigned in a ghetto/rural area. A sight I've never seen before because I'm from the more _nicer_ part of the city. I hated it. Not because it was a rural area but every house had guard dogs, dogs running around like in this video etc. Mostly pitbulls. I dropped off a package one time and as I look up, there are 3 pitbulls running towards me. I should've ran but I tried my luck and stayed there and tried to act friendly. They just surrounded me and barked viciously. I just stared at them hoping they'd calm down then one of them leaped at me and clawd my arm, that's when I turned to start running and as soon as I turn my back to start running, one of them bites me in the ass and the other has my entire calf in it's mouth. He bit my leg as far as his teeth would go in. I broke free and they stopped chasing me after an invisible barrier I guess. The owners came out with their children and I said I won't report it because they're just dogs being dogs. And as long as they don't have rabies. I also didn't want them to be put down. I have scarring on my leg now and somewhat of a fear of random and strangers dogs. But, yeah...

I never knew people can shoot "stray" dog... like WTF..... I thought we were getting better and passed that ages ago.... I'm just so SHOCKED and saddened by this. these people needs to be re-educated and a slap in the face. I'll probably go crazy if I lived there......
@milomilo557 жыл бұрын
Branscsmsbc 7 They said the guy threatened to shoot one of the dogs because he thought the dog was going to attack his child ..I think it was the dog that kept showing its teeth. The guy was worried about his child being mauled and it's kinda understandable since they dogs were not being looked after in any way. Would you risk your child's life if a strange and unsocialized dog started approaching your child with bared teeth?
@haileymiller77967 жыл бұрын
If his life or someone else's is in danger (which he thought was by the dog) he has a right to shoot the dog, but if he just wants to shoot the dog because its a stray then yes that is wrong
@hillaryartman647 жыл бұрын
milomilo55 yes it was that dog

Where I live hunters are allowed to shoot "stray" dogs or dogs who are chasing deer or rabbit. There was now a fresh case where a hunter shot a dog in the middle of our capital city (there was a green patch next to an airport) and he defended himself by saying he hadn't seen it well and he had thought it was a fox. There is an other case where foreign tourist had a dog. Had. The hunter shot it then threw into the river and later said the dog was chasing a prey and he had to defend it.

forget the dog. just her deminour tells me that kid isnt safe with her
@wolfie81817 жыл бұрын
I agree with you when you say that the kid definitely isn't safe with her, but it doesn't mean that they should forget about the dogs. Dogs have a life as well as humans, so instead of "forgetting about the dogs" they should talk to the authorities about both, the dogs and the child.
@NxDoyle4 жыл бұрын
The dog baring its teeth while otherwise seeming friendly reminds me of a dog I met years ago that had been rescued from someone accused of training dogs for fights. It's the only other time I've ever seen a dog send such mixed signals.

I had this scary puppy with exceptional set of teeth at 6 weeks of age. She had no interest to chew but was searching for human flush to bite mainly me. She was loyal,intelligent and loved her but I could not cope up with bitting. And it was one reason gave her to shelter. still miss her,was my child.

Have a dog a couple of doors down from us that bares her teeth in the same manner. Took me a couple of months to realize that she was just smiling at everyone. She would go and get her favorite toy and show it to whomever walked by ... in no way aggressive, but just happy to show off her toy. Everyone in the neighborhood knows her and is fine with her running around and is no way aggressive with any other dogs that are being walked in the area.
@moonlightandstaryeyesbestr60613 жыл бұрын
A dog should not be running around in a neighborhood that’s an open public place and not like an open off leash dog park. It can attack people (it has prey instincts ) and not everybody love dogs ( I for instance I am very scared and terrified of dogs after getting charged and chased and almost bite Y two when I had not even provoked them ) I don’t hate dogs but I am scared of them and don’t want them anywhere near them. Dogs are supposed to be on a leash in public places and spaces . You big even supposed to have them in your backyard or front unsupervised if you have a short, unsecured fence that they can jump or escape through. People need to be considered and dogs or that particular friendly can attack children grown up . A dog is a dog and a wild animal at the end of the day. It might be nice to the owner and people that they know but it might not be so nice to strangers passing by
