Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) / Fritz Kreisler (1875-1962) - Rondo from Haffner Serenade K.250
Wacław Niemczyk (1907-1979) - violin
G. Sulikowski - piano (probably Jerzy Sulikowski, 1909-1997)
Wacław Niemczyk was a Polish violinist. He completed the Warsaw Music Conservatory, he also studied in Paris. He was awarded in a violin competition in Vienna in 1932 and in Wieniawski competition in Warsaw in 1935. In parallel, he also played lighter jazz music, travelling around Europe and recording for Syrena Record. He got married in 1935 to Danuta von Schenk. They were living together in Paris during 1935-1938. This recording must be coming from that time.
During WW2, he stayed in Warsaw. After the collapse of the Warsaw rise-up he played in front of Hans Frank, Nazi war criminal, which the Polish compatriots never forgave. In 1946 he abandoned his family and left for London. In the UK he married again with a pianist and aristocrat, Jean J. Morrell. He died in London in 1979.
Wacław Niemczyk is a brother of Polish top actor Leon Niemczyk (1923-2006, best known internationally from "Knife in the Water", a 1962 movie by Polanski). Father of Krzysztof Niemczyk (1938-1994), writer, painter, performer, and situationist.
No information about G. Sulikowski was found, possibly this is Jerzy Sulikowski (1909-1997), who debuted in Paris in 1931: dezede.org/ind...
