Joel often sounds bad live because he cups the mic. makes it really hard for sound engineers to make a decent mix without feedback. plus he propably holds the mic too close to his mouth, whe he sounds even more muffled. a lot of dynamic mics do that.

I know this video is old as balls but back in 2017 Ahren's live vocals were GREAT and I have no f'n idea why they would want to turn his vocals way down (Weighed down on the way down), singing to a track & autotune the piss out of the tiny bit of his actual voice that you can kinda hear! I guarantee that if you ask ANY TAA fan what they think about Ahren's vocals or even his voice in general they'll say they love it, it's amazingly unique, he doesn't sound like ANY other vocalist anywhere & that the band as a whole with a special HIGHLY RESPECTED emphasis on Ahren AND Joel basically created their own sub-genre of Metalcore without even knowing it making every single vocalist & band out there who wants to steal lyrics, riffs & drum beats stand out like a pink t-shirt in a sea of black unable to run and hide!
