Dee's voice is the great combination of taking care of ones body and abstaining from alcohol/smoking/drugs so there's no real damage to his throat or vocal chords that a lot of singer's back them end up having at this age, he's not out of breath either for the same reason. THIS is simply incredible. For a hard rocker that sings hard the way Dee always has, I didn't think it was possible his vocals could be a dim shadow of what they were in the early 80's at 60 years old! I'm blown away...and the energy and intensity he put into his performance at his age. I was a huge fan when I was 16 in 1988. I was at Wacken and honestly, no joke, this was the best show at the entire festival. Dee Snider is a true frontman, just an awesome beastly dude... Dee Snider is hands down the greatest live performer of all time! We saw him with his solo band at wacken, filling in for Thin Lizzy (Wacken 2000). I got to meet him in 2004 in Valdosta, GA. Twisted Sister did a free set for a 4th of July show in town at a book store. On the other side of the parking lot was a free wrestling show. I just happened to know a few of the guys who were wrestling. Later that night me and some of the wrestlers were at a bar drinking and Dee spotted Ray Loyd, aka Glacier from WCW. He came over to our table and talked to us for a few minutes, took pictures, shook our hands, then dropped $100 bill on the table and said he’s got our tab for the night. He is a very cool dude.
