The AI description includes the specifics and I’ve heard the search engine pulls from description. So I use it and tweak it.

But then you have to go in and read what AI wrote and correct it. Waste of my time.

I have not come across those cards but they're def the type of thing I like to list! I have used the AI for Pinterest/IG/FB post buy agree they suck for listings.

I never even heard of these Wacky things and I was in High school when they came out. Lucky me I guess. Before I moved up to where I am at now I would hit 30-40 yards sales every Saturday and don't think I saw them there either, but then I was not looking for them. I know I won't see them where I live now. If I am lucky there might be 3-4 yardsales on a saturday, but I will keep my eyes out for them. Thanks.

So, I am actually anti-AI and don't really care for it. As far as ebay is concerned, specifically postcards, there is a guy that is crushing postcard sales with it in conjunction with his tech skills. I have some weird feeling that ebay pushes anything AI related more so and I don't know if I am crazy or just not understanding it all. I won't give his name or store away because it is his business and it is simple to find yourself ayway. My issue is not with him, he is doing really really well. Between his awesome tech skills and the ebay bulk listing, he is able to list like 20k cards a month. That isn't what blows my mind. It's the AI descriptions and the way the titles are written. Completely opposite than anyone else on youtube or ebay itself has preached for years. He is selling $2-4 cards for $10-15 regularly and I cannot make heads or tails about it. I love it though, good for him. I am just mind-blown like I said. I pick any random card and research the sold history and what is currently still for sale and scratch my head.

There has been a lot of automation over the years and they can list a ton of cards in short period of time. Anytime people list that many cards they will always sell a percentage of them in the first month or so and have some harder to find cards in the batch. In the long run all Postcards end up long tail to what I have seen and experienced. Like you hey he is killing it and hope it continues for him there is room for everyone in the niche.

Would his name happen to be Walter?
@reversiontothemean61292 ай бұрын
@@cyberdan1000 Might be. But, again, the point isn't him. It's the opposite of best practices success. He seems like a really nice guy and I am truly happy for him. It's the amount he is getting for the cards that is blowing my mind. I pick cards that have sold and current listed comps for 2-3 and hes getting 10-15 each. The AI descriptions that have nothing to do with the actual listing. I can't understand it. It is mind bogging. Maybe just to me I guess.

Yes it is quite amazing what price he is getting for his cards. There is this other seller that I watch that has 2 large stores and his method is to charge $7.99 + $2 shipping on his cards & best offer and he is getting his price on most cards & a lot of them are lower end & I have a lot of the same ones. Any way I think we tend to under value our cards & get stuck on comps only.

@bobbonsante5902 I agree many are undervalued. But, I'm not selling cards, I collect. I meant that I pick out random solds on his store and then look them up and then see all the current ones for sale. That tells me either buyers that don't look or an algorithm that buried other listings in lieu of AI listings. I'm probably wrong, but it still makes me go hmmm.
