I remember watching Wacky Races in the 90's when I was little and I got the complete DVD collection, still I really wished they have released the reboot of Wacky Races 2017 as the complete DVD collection just like the original.

Got all the old cartoons from the 60's and 70's on Blu-ray so my kids can see what Saturday morning's were all about.

Did Wacky Races run for 2 seasons? I thought it was only 1 season as stated on the DVD trailer. Also wasn't the first episode See-Saw to Arkansas/ Creepy Trip to Lemon Twist and the last being Race to Racine/The Carlsbad or Bust Bash? I'm sure I'm right because in See-Saw/Creepy Trip Dick Dastardly's coat buttons are red and remain purple for the rest of the run. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what the DVD says.

Peugeot has a two-minute advertisement that is everything a feature-length movie should be. No annoying new characters, (other than the driver of the advertised car). and minimal changes and alterations! - Whee!

Five minutes of the reboot pilot "Wacky Races Forever" is available on KZbin; one of those "next generation" messes, it probably failed because of some extremely bad ideas (the retired Peter Perfect designs a "trick track" that has racers drive over millions of sedated live snakes) and because kids' shows about the thrills and fun of unsafe driving aren't quite the sure bet they used to be.

Nonetheless, I watched it religiously! But I was 7 when it debuted, and it was a cartoon; those were the only real requirements for my Saturday morning TV viewing! :-D

It was produced in response to the complaints about the violence in all the superhero cartoons. Beginning with this show, Hanna-Barbera decided to return to comedy, and also throw in a bit of adventure. This was also done with The Arabian Knights, The Three Musketeers(both featured on The Banana Splits Adventure Hour, along with the adventurous but somewhat comical live action Danger Island), and The Adventures Of Gulliver. Then a year later, there was Scooby-Doo.

@@patoren3gou653 Perhaps I should have phrased it better. I meant all the superhero cartoons of the 60's that preceded Wacky Races, like Space Ghost, Birdman, The Herculoids, etc.
