Hey Rhys, love the drone footage and the educational nature of your content. Last year I was fishing and averaged 1.3 fish per ten outings. This year I’ve been out 3 times in the past 3 weeks and my average is at 5 fish per trip. Cloudy water, lure, nymph and indeed anything you have shared has helped me catch more and enjoy my time on the water. The camera and edit on this is top drawer. Thanks

Hi Rhys. Very much enjoyed viewing your video. I love dry fly fishing above all else & try to use this method as much as is possible. What I’d like to say is how impressed I am with your double haul casting. Some anglers that I have viewed, good as they are, it makes me think of them hammering a nail into a wall, you seem to cast so elegantly. Thanks for all of the tips & tight lines to you. Derick.

are these ponds specifically built for fishing in UK ?
@RhysFishes2 жыл бұрын
Yea. All river fishing in the UK is owned by clubs and for some clubs it's impossible to obtain a membership due to limited numbers. As a result, put and take or catch and release lakes like this form a large population of the trout fishing UK anglers do.

Thanks Rhys, another most enjoyable video! Did I understand you to say the leader is fleuro all the way to the fly or is there a terminal poly section of tippet?
@RhysFishes3 жыл бұрын
For this video i fished with copolymer initially then switched to fluorocarbon. I'd usually pair that with a 9ft shop bought tapered leader (any brand will suffice)
@rhyspercey38803 жыл бұрын
In a few of the shots there it looked like you were using 2 dries, what sizes would you use when fishing 2? Would it be a bigger one on the point or both the same? Also good choice in music in the last 2 vids.
@RhysFishes3 жыл бұрын
Just 1 dry rhys, i rarely fish 2 on a small stillwater at the risk of breaksoffs. If i were fishing two i'd keep them relatively small

Llyn Brenig reservoir in North Wales is still not open for fishing saying they dont have permission from welsh govt and it may be end of April before they get it...bit weird when other local reservoirs are open. They are open for walkers and cyclists but not anglers. In previous restrictions last year they at least had local anglers booking online..... anyone with more info...?
