Hi Rhys. It's Paul from Two Novice Anglers here. This is another great video. Thanks. A new venue is always a challenge for us. Jackie and I have often struggled at a new venue despite useful tips from the bailiff (which is always my first port of call). We often do much better on the second visit. Your video highlights the problems. First, fully understand the rules and stick to them. Then have your "go to rig" and be prepared to move around or slightly modify your rig. In 12 minutes you have covered most of the problems an angler often takes all day to solve. Thanks.

This is a great fishery Rhys. I have fished it quite a few times in all seasons and always had a good welcome there. The people who run it are very friendly and accommodating and keep it well stocked.

Class video as usual, Rhys. I battered my usual fishery last Sunday. A white eggstacy with a tail with silver fleck and it was lethal. Back at it tomorrow. I’m gonna try snakes for the first time tomorrow

Hi Rhys, great video my friend. During my trip last Sunday I managed to slice my thumb open (right hand), get a barbed hook in my thumb (left hand), and snap my spare road. The joy of extracting the hook distracted me from the blank… we should collaborate one day. You with the fishing and me with the risk assessment and emergency planning. !

Personally this is one of my favourite parts of the season. With as the water begins to cool slightly from peak summer levels. Many fish are more actively feeding for longer. Both with the higher levels of oxygen in the water, and the need to start building that reserve of fat to get through the winter. So imitative tactic often come into play. With the secondary blessing of in the rivers the lady of the stream grayling also is now becoming active

Couldn’t agree more. The good thing about it is it’s still challenging as we begin to weave in different methods, one day they want buzzers, the next day they’ll only look at lures. All part of the puzzle

What’s the difference with a Di3 and a fast intermediate line Rhys ? Thanks, another great video conditions looked nice bar the sun
@jedley13 жыл бұрын
Di3 sinks at 3 inches per second A fast glass intermediate typically sinks at 1.5 inches per second. 👍🏽

@@jedley1 thanks for the info, what’s a slow glass line ?
@jedley13 жыл бұрын
@@johnfranklin177 when people refer to a 'glass' line they are talking about an intermediate line. A slow glass is a slow intermediate line that typically sinks at 0.5 inches per second. Hope that helps mate 👍

Great video as usual Rhys, very informative and easy to understand. My only problem is in the handling of the fish, I know it’s good for the video but I think it may be sending out the wrong message as viewers may think that it’s the norm to handle the fish on catch & release ticket. Keep up the good work in educating us on all things that help us catch fish.👍🎣

Hello could u recommend a trout fishing combo for 200pound max im not a bigginer but know you could recommend the best setup,mainly will be fishing from the bank

Just rod and reel? Vision hero or scierra srx are great rods. Switch black for reel

Nice video. If you were starting out, what 2 or 3 different types of line would you get initially?
@RhysFishes3 жыл бұрын
Pick up a floater and a fast intermediate. Those 2 will cover you for 80% of the fishing on smaller stilwaters

Hi Rhys. On fishing the apps worm, I noticed, if I viewed correctly, that you were retrieving quite fast. Is this your preferred method or is it normally a slow figure of eight. Very good information & easily understood by me a recreational angler. Many thanks. Derick.

It varies Derick. Check out the apps video I did here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpXNg2WBfL98pdk

No bung fishing omg is that what is come to with the bung haters….what difference does it make how many rods are allowed, you can only fish one at a time
@shaunfishes1013 жыл бұрын
No problem. They allow two flies. A good dry on top and a nice little buzzer 2/3' below. However if they see that they would probably ban that also.

Don’t get me wrong I can fish with no bung it’s just tricky on flat calm days

OH NO!! THE PUDDLE. You was about 10 min from my house. I could have made you a cuppa. I have never fished this water, and will NEVER fish it now. I did go down there once as the boys told me they would be fishing it. I had a bit of work to sort, so told them I would call in see how they were doing on my way home. I was only on the bank 15 min talking with the boys when this strange bloke came up to me asking me for money. I did not understand. He insisted I give him money for standing talking to the boys. It turns out to be the owner. They want money off you even without a rod. Strange bloke strange policies.
