Thanks for the channel plug Rhys! I was introduced to the Dogs Bollocks years ago by a bailiff, hauling out fish when I was blanking. I mentioned in a video it was “The Dogs Bollocks” and it’s been that way ever since. Getting fished worldwide now! Fame at last but still skint!😂😂

Hi James, Michael didn't invent it he has just promoted it loads through his tyings. Lol gave it the name of a dogs bollox a few year back when we were introduced to it at Knitsley Mill, he came up with the name because it worked so so well and still does, simple and very effective 😉

Hi Rhys. Another great video. I like “The Dogs Bollocks” in a number of bead colours. For me a white bead has been successful as has a fluorescent yellow. 6 or 7 colours are useful if the trout have seen everything else. I have even caught a carp and a bream on one under the bug on a fly rod!

hello Rhys from Slovakia, I like to watch, I get inspired and try. But I want to ask, here we have areas for small trout where there are also carp and they pollute the water almost all year? Are there any flies there? The fish are thrown away, ordinary fishermen don't even come anymore, but the fish is there, just figure out what it wants... Thank you

Hi Rhys. If I may, can I ask why Airflo Sixth Sense sinking lines are duel weighted? There either 6/7 or 7/8 etc. I mostly use a 7wt outfit, so which would I go for? I can’t find any information as to why online. And really liking the videos! Informative yet entertaining 😂
@TheSavagederek3 жыл бұрын
Your rod will be able to cast either. The 7/8 will be better in strong winds or if you need extreme distance on larger waters, where presentation isn't so important. The 6/7 would be better for a better presentation of the fly or flies on small to medium Stillwaters.

Great video, Rhys! Just one thought...many of your tips relate to venues where multiple flies are allowed, which is not often the case where I fish. Do you have suggestions that would be applicable at fisheries only allowing single fly?
@RhysFishes3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Mike. The sames rules apply, just scale things back, so when looking at nymphs, just fish a single nymph. It will be harder to maintain a static approach than fishing a 2 or 3 fly cast with a boyant fly but it's still doable, just slightly more hindered
