It was a number one hit but I had just turned twenty one and I was not happy or ready for radio to start its new decade shuffle it seemed to like to do. I gave up radio about 5 years later. I’ve got about 4,500 songs and that’s where I live. Occasionally I’ll hear something brilliant like ‘Need You Now’ or ‘Sunny and Seventy Five’ or ‘Last Call’ or ‘Wrecking Ball’ and I add them in but it doesn’t happen often. Does anyone else miss it? As Connie Smith calls it, ‘the cry of the heart’? Fiddles, steel…where are they? Where is country music for the people who don’t go muddin’ or open a beer at 11am? At this point, I’d take this song and songs like it over what I hear now.

Love this song and the rest of the My World album! She's one of those great female artists from the early 00's that kind of just came and went, along with Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Jamie O'Neal, Kellie Coffey, and Jennifer Hanson. I miss hearing new music from each of them. I know I'd much rather hear them over 95% of what's on the radio today.
@countrygirlcountrymusiclov99476 жыл бұрын
jscountrygirl85 I have CDs of all those girls you mentioned. And I have a CD of Cyndi as well (it's called my world) but Jamie o'neal is probably the one out of those that had the most hits. Somebody's hero trying to find Atlantis there is no Arizona when I think about angels I'm not gonna do anything without you with Mark wills frantic and shiver were all either major or.minor hits for Jamie
@countrygirlcountrymusiclov99476 жыл бұрын
jscountrygirl85 and all of those are equally as talented as literally 95-97% of what's on the radio today. So why the hell would you choose them over what's on the radio today. Look at all the talented females we have today (I'm gonna mention females since Cyndi is female) Carrie Underwood Miranda lambert Lindsay ell maren Morris Carly pearce Hillary Scott from lady antebellum the brunette from little big town named Karen Fairchild the blond from little big town named Kimberly schlapman Lauren Alaina. All of those girls are equally as talented as literally any of those you mentioned.

I didnt know who sang this song when i first heard it. I was doing my prison commitment back in 2000 in sheridan oregon. it did though, melt me as hard and tough as i thought i was, reminding me of my babydoll and son. cindi what an excellent singer

The song definitely takes me back to a 12 yr marriage that ended. I would give anything if we both could go back to the year this somg was released & not have given up on one another.

This was a gorgeously emotional and moving song, with excellent background instrumentation, and sung by a completely lovely singer. This had to be about my very favorite selections from 2001.. :-] Cyndi had a massive number one hit with this one from what would turn out to be her first and only album/CD release..
