Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

Hope they will be in the bays down there at the end of july. From this retired military guy, thank you for your service.. great video.. carry a net with you, they are great hook shakers

Awesome man. Its great to see the high numbers of flounder being caught. even if they are small. They are fast growers so will definately be well over legal size by next year!

Mark from fishbites told us to stretch the tail a few times with your fingers before you cast. Supposed to give more action. Heck they work well without the stretch. Nice job!

Took my wife floundering yesterday morning here in Tx. She had a 21" and I had 2 x 15". Stuffed them with shrimp and crabmeat and soaked them in garlic butter with hush puppies and deep fried jalapenos! Flounder might be my fave eating fish.

Most the time I’ve noticed they’ll hit it and just sit on the bottom I caught one two weeks ago fishing in the surf and didn’t even realize he was on until I started reeling in

Flounder are so much fun catching and eating. Miss fishing for them where I'm at now. My old spot I didn't have to cast, could just extend my arm out, drop the live mullet and wait a few and hook into one. Wasn't immediate, would need to wait a lil bit.

My baby sister is getting married on Dauphin Island in October 2022. Im an avid smallmouth guy from Indiana and he is a saltwater Texan guy and we bonded over fishing. If you are near Dauphin island at that time of year we would love to fish with you if you arent viral and busy by then. Only stipulation is we go to church together on the island that you choose!! 🙏 God Bless you and your content!!

A friend of mine is a local Capt. And uses the "fight club" soft plastics for nearshore wrecks fishing for flounder and does really well. I like the smaller profile of the ones your using. Going to try a pack when the flounder start to stage in the inlet.

How you like the avid inshore with the ultegra? I was thinking maybe stradic ci4+ or maybe maaaaybeee a Stella FJ? Say 5000 size?
@BamaSaltwater3 жыл бұрын
I love em so much , I own 4. They’re strong, light, and sensitive. I’ve had all but the Stella. I enjoy the Ci4+ but since the Vanford came out, I switched back to the regular Stradic and the Ultegras are amazing for the $$$

I have just recently started watching your channel. I live just north of Mobile and fish around Dauphin Island when I can. I love that you tell what you are using all the way down to the rod. I'm hoping to learn more from you on how and where to fish and get better than I am. Would also like to know if you take charters. I would love to fish with you. Thank you.

Why do you wait before setting the hook although you already felt the bite? Seems unusual for jigging artificial baits to me. But I only fish in freshwater... Nice videos
@BamaSaltwater2 жыл бұрын
Flounder hit the lure and can sometimes only have the tail in their mouth. They'll do another "gulp" to get the rest of the "prey" and that's when you set that hook!
