Nice saw. Love that era and just before for machines. Just can't beat them. Love the longer videos. But do what makes you happy mate. Cheers!!

I’d love to see a video on what you do with this and how you do things when it comes to restoring the machines. I have this saw. There’s a sliding extended bed that can go with it too unfortunately it didn’t come with mine. Love the longer videos too 😊

Heck of a pickup ya got there Jack! The temple wasn’t quite complete w/o a wadkin BGS sliding panel saw. Joking aside, the temple really is just that much more complete with that BGS in there. Looks amazing, looking forwards to seeing this in action in videos to come.

The longer format videos are ideal as your knowledge and opinions are perfect. I own this saw model and would very much like to see your approach to table, mitre slot and sliding table alignment. Thank you and really looking forward to the next installment.

Dear Jack, I have the same saw, so very pleased to see that you have let one into the temple. I watched your PK saw videos envying it considerably, but this is a nice machine. You mentioned all the eccentrics and adjustments on the slider - yes indeed.... and it's a complete pig to align, at least if you are a newbie. I learned quite a lot doing mine. Including that someone had put a packing washer behind the bottom bearing so everything else had been tilted way out to compensate. Took me a while to find out why it was all misaligned. It's all good now, although the main table is slightly warped so it's impossible to get it perfect. I look forward very much to seeing you get this one into Jack order, and perhaps can find out some tricks from you along the way. There are some tapped holes (and some plain for pins) in my sliding table, but no etched angle marks as for the mitre on the PK. I would like to find out what they intended for these holes, other than a fixed 90 fence. I'd be happy to share pictures or other details of my saw, if you are interested. regards, Miles

The holes were part of the assembly for the outrigger, which was basically a pedestal held by solid bar pipe that came out of the holes below the carriage. It was basically a glorified piece of angle iron that walked assembly with wide roller bearings to accommodate the 2 inch horizontal movement, the later model BGP expanded that to have connecting castings and much larger, sliding tables, capable of holding full size house, doors, and sheets stock

I always enjoy your video's. Happy to watch longer. Especially a rare unicorn like this. Like someone else said though, do what makes you happy.

Ten points Jack. ❤ Your audio was a little garbly 😢 audio is so damn hard. the long forms really help people of the future know how you think and how to appreciate the things you appreciate.

I don't go much there anymore. I'm frequently on Instagram and trying to be a little more prudent here on KZbin. But you can contact me through my website at Jforsberg.ca.
