Pancakes all the way. Have you tried spreading butter on a waffle? It is so difficult and you end up with squares full of butter. Spreading butter on pancakes is effortless, it melts quickly and you have butter flavor in every bite.

Pancakes are far more superior. First of all, you always see pancake art on KZbin and its unarguabley beautiful. If you try doing waffle art, it not only is near to impossible with a normal waffle iron, it turns out looking like crap because it has like a freaking grid and stuff messing with the shape. Pancakes are EASY. You can make them in the morning. Kids can make them after school. You can make them when you're hungover. ANY MOMENT IS A PANCAKE MOMENT. Now, lets do this with waffles... Wake up in the morning, look for the waffle iron for about 10 minutes on that hard to reach shelf, clean it, look up a waffle recipe (because let's be honest.. no one has GOOD waffle mix at home), separate egg whites and all that other complicated stuff JUST so that you can have a reasonably crispy waffle, wait for the waffle iron to pre-heat and try to grease every little crevice. SEE?! WE HAVE NOT EVEN STARTED MAKING THE WAFFLES YET AND WE'RE ALREADY 40 MINUTES LATE.. And have you EVER made waffles after school? Probably not.. Oh have you? Did you end up with both a burnt waffle AND a burned hand? Probably. Is it only one hour until dinner because they took so damn long? probably. Were they GOOD? probably not.

waffles are better. i have reasons. 1. when you put syrup or sauce on it, it doesn't get soggy. 2. with dense types of waffles like Belgium waffles, you can pick it up and eat it like a piece of pizza. you can eat it with fruit or other things on them, and it holds it well. 3. it has squares in it so you can easily hold syrup or sauce. 4. you can make them however you like them. if you want them crispy, you can make them crispy, but if you want them soft you can also make them soft. unlike pancakes, than only have one kind of density. 5. they aren't as sweet as pancakes, so you can pair them with dinner food. like chicken and waffles. its delicious! these are 5 of many reasons why waffles definitely beat pancakes. and by the way, pancake loves, PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!

You can make pancakes look like however you want them too. If you want it to look like a Star Wars character, you can make it a Star Wars character, but if you want to make it look like an regular pancake, you can also make it look like a regular pancake. Unlike waffles, you only have 1 shape. Also they taste the same!!! Unless you have different batter, they should taste almost identical.

In addition, pancakes too hold fruits, if anything, it's able to hold it better as it is actually in the batter, where as a waffle will simply have them on top, having the possibility of them falling off. Both are preferences, either way. 3. Where waffles excel in holding syrup through crevices and holes, pancakes equal that with their fluffy texture; being able to absorb the syrup. Going back to number 1, this isn't really relevant, nor is it anything to one-up the other dramatically. 4. Who said you can't make pancakes crispy? Try new things. Pancakes do in fact have a variety of possible textures and densities. 5. I honestly find waffles to be sweeter, but that's my opinion. Most people would believe that they're made of similar, if not the same batter, make this irrelevant as not all waffles nor pancakes are the same. Chicken and waffles however, is delicious.
