0:49 - In 2023, even though Ga. has 13 Congressional districts, Macon and Columbus still share the same one, along with Albany, for that matter.

Competing banks advertising together, more feasible back when interest rates were regulated. They probably all paid the same.

Citizens & Southern National, the last one mentioned, was the Atlanta Braves' bank of choice when the team moved from Milwaukee in 1966. C&S had a big field level advertisement beyond the left field fence at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium.
@gregsells85494 жыл бұрын
@@lsmftymf When Hank Aaron hit his record-breaking home run, the field-level ad had changed to First Atlanta, later Wachovia, now Wells Fargo. Now the Braves play at SunTrust Park, the merger between Trust Company Bank and Sun Bank of Florida, now merging with BB&T of North Carolina to become Truist. C&S later merged with Sovran of Virginia, then with NCNB to become NationsBank, the official bank of the Centennial Olympic Games. Then NationsBank took over and assumed the name of Bank of America. That First Atlanta ad was for BankAmericard, now Visa and originated by BofA when they were just in California.

That'd be Nalley. But that would be the wrong way to spell "Impala," Mr. Sales Manager.

So their news theme in those years was the same as what Mutual News used up to the early - mid-'60's. Interesting.

Was Bob Underwood the uncle of South Carolina Congressman Frank Underwood?
@catspringginny9 жыл бұрын
+DaveDaShrubber Of course not. Frank Underwood, entertaining though he may be, is purely fictional. :-)

+catspringginny You're right, Bob wasn't really related to him but it would be interesting if he was.

radioman1968 And WAGA was still on Peachtree Road at the time (they didn’t move to their current studios at 1551 Briarcliff Road until 1966, complete with color equipment).

Why would they take something in color and turn it into black and white? That’s really not how it’s done
