I was never a fan of Amy Lee. But I LOVE Suzuhana Yuko and Wagakki Band! Yuko-san is literally the queen of Japan. LOVE her. She is so amazing. Everyone loves Beni too!

Loved that you guys got to this. Three quite different voices blended perfectly together. Too cool. There is more Shamisen in Japanese rock out there, just gotta look hard!

I, too, have always wanted to see metal bassoon. I played bassoon in high school, and it is still my favourite instrument, even though I haven't played in (mumble) years.
@CaptainFaceBeard2 жыл бұрын
Can't help with Bassoon, BUT if you search for "Necrophagist Clarinet" you will find magic. Buddy that plays that song looks like he might pass out before he finishes the solo. Actually, he is the link, too good not to see. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2HZfWSrdr2hbdU

Amy Lee and Evanescnece never really did touring prior to their big major debut album hit. They played in local coffe shops and pizza places in their hometown Little Rock about 10 or 12 times, they were more like studio musicians, they even weren't a full band back then, it was a duo then a trio and after they recorded the full album and needed to start touring in 2003 they hired the rest of the band as live musicians to fill the space of what they already recorded on Fallen. So that first time you saw them in Much Music, was Amy first time performing on live TV actually, they played in another key bc the keyboard wasn't in the right key. And you can actually google that same presentation, she didn't do it as bad as you are describing, she has become better and better as time goes by, and she has proved several times to be an amazing singer, just listen to her playing with Korn at their Unplugged with Freak on a Leah, or featuring Halestorm with Break In, or the live version of Broken with Seether, and many many acoustic and rock performances with Evanescence.

Break in the duet version is breathtaking not sure I've ever heard two artists harmonize sooo beautifully 😍 plus Amy has a tonne of incredible live performances like the synthesis tour 🤤😍😁

I love Amy's voice, it's so haunting. I know she had made a lot of improvement with her voice following the early shows. It's hard when you go from a crowd of 100, to 10,000, in such a short time. Any small bit of stage fright can become gigantic. That makes sense that it was her first big performance. It was harder to find live stuff back then. That was about the only thing live I had seen from them until a few years ago when I went looking again. I would have been terrified in her place. I have a fear of singing in front of people as well. Thank you, I am really glad you told me that.

Nice reaction Andy. And you did notice the grunt. Quite surprising right? Would love it if hed grunt more often, it sounds great.

His voice sounds awesome for harsh vocals. I had only seen like 1 Wagakki Band video before, and I don't think he even sang. Well not in a leading role probably, where I would have noticed him.
@ohcomeongetoutofhere3 жыл бұрын
@@CaptainFaceBeard The guitarist Machiya? He is backing vocal for Wagakkiband 95% of the time, few duets with Yuko and a couple of times when he is alone. He is vocalist of his previous band. Check out: Tsuioku Episode.0 from 2017 concert (a Gackupo vocaloid/Gackt cover) Kyoushu no sora (2018 acoustic with the flute guy) Doppo, Ame nochi kanjouron, Hana ichi monme - all 3 from the same concert with Amy Lee. He is new to harsh vocals. Their voices with Yuko match like Heaven. As for her abilities...Atena no nai tegami, Eclipse and what not. All feast for the ear.

If you like this, don't know if you have already seen Evanescence - Lacrymosa from the Synthesis DVD, but if not Amy's singing on that is incredible.

It just occured to me 🤔 where else would a beard be 😂😂😂😂😂 also yasssss Amy Lee 😍 I know this sounds cheesy but her music legitimately saves lives, gets me down that people often tend to have an issue with the band (not saying people can't dislike her of course but more often than not it's just fake edginess)
