"Forget my name. Forget my face. It was all just empty... space. Deadweight." This is the perfect culmination of the entire message of the album. Beautiful.

Jonathan Ketterer their other guitar player Seth is a better singer than Cody in my opinion, but I don’t think he’s sang on Wage War material, just saw stuff on instagram.
@RomanCzachor6 жыл бұрын
Connor Matheson completely agree. I like Seth’s voice much more but for some he never sings for the band??
@djentisnotagenre_6 жыл бұрын
Connor Matheson i’d have to disagree. seth is a phenomenal singer but i prefer cody’s voice in the band. he just has a more raw sound in my opinion.
@AcaciaTreeTV6 жыл бұрын
Yea you should hear their last two albums. He sings in all the songs😂
@ultrawolflord84956 жыл бұрын
Jonathan Ketterer Main thing here is we found out Briton can sing as well! They can be vocal powerhouse on their next album if they have Seth and Briton start singing as well as Cody.
@perpetualponder68512 жыл бұрын
Love the contrast between the two versions of this song. The heavier version allows you to turn that feeling of despair into something maybe a little bit more positive; like when you're at the gym. While the acoustic version allows you to sit back and reflect on your situation and feel the depth of your emotions. Great music you guys keep doing what you do.

[Intro] Let me tell you the saddest story Love lost, left broken and empty Put my heart in the hands of another Set a fire to the past and watched me burn [Verse 1] Somehow I guess it's better this way Looking back, was it all just a mistake? Thought I could live in the arms of another But I guess I wasn't enough for her [Chorus 1] I wanna feel the love you can't live without The one that Johnny Cash wrote all his songs about But I gave it all away for no return Guess it's just another lesson that I'll never learn [Verse 2] I've been putting myself through your Hell Holding on to things that don't even matter now You found your place in the arms of another But now I see it's just the way the Earth will turn [Chorus 2] I wanna feel the love you can't live without The one that Johnny Cash wrote all his songs about But I gave it all away for no return Guess it's just another lesson that I'll never learn Can't seem to fill the void that lives in my chest Thought I was what you need, but I'm just second best I'll never give it all away again I swear Don't even look for a heart, you'll find there's nothing there [Bridge] (I can't take it back) All the years that we spent together have come to an end (Regret is all I had) Not sure I would if I could do it all over again (I can't take it back) The memories, the pictures, I love you's will wither (Regret is all I had) But this is the last song I'll write about you Forget my name Forget my face It was all just empty space Deadweight; no longer part of me

A year spent together that seemed so perfect. A love I haven't felt for the better part of two decades. Two weeks ago, white became black and she left me for her ex from over half a decade ago. Even all these years later, I am still a rebound for a lesser man with half the love I had for her... With my heart ripped out and cast aside for the sheer whim of a woman, this is my fucking anthem.
