No it's not. I played second best to somebody for 14 years. Tried to change her, tried to change myself. From the time I was 20 years old untill I am now 34 I fooled myself and let somebody fool me and lead me on. Love is so blind. Dont be so blind you lose yourself. I am just now learning that I am responsible for my own happiness.

Every man has his limits no matter the personality, the emotional depth or lack thereof, or the way he copes. No man and I mean NO MAN is impervious to pain and regret brought on by a woman. There seems to be an abundance amount of songs about women being done wrong by a man which is fine by all means. However, I feel too often men are overlooked emotionally because we are conditioned to not show weakness or vulnerability. I'm glad in this instance a band created a song that speaks for us who were not able to put our thoughts into words. It makes me think of a quote that strikes so close to home you don't even realize it until it immerses you in it. "The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It can be a very mean and nasty place, and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it's not about how hard you hit, it's about how much you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward." ~Rocky Balboa~

Love the contrast between the two versions of this song. The heavier version allows you to turn that feeling of despair into something maybe a little bit more positive; like when you're at the gym. While the acoustic version allows you to sit back and reflect on your situation and feel the depth of your emotions. Great music you guys keep doing what you do.

Let me tell you the saddest story Love lost left broken and empty Put my heart in the hands of another Set a fire to the past and watch me burn Somehow I guess it's better this way Looking back was it all just a mistake? Thought I could live in the arms of another But I guess I wasn't enough for her I wanna feel the love you can't live without The one that Johnny Cash wrote all his songs about But I gave it all away for no return Guess it's just another lesson that I'll never learn I've been putting myself through your Hell Holding on to things that don't even matter now You found your place in the arms of another But now I see it's just the way the Earth will turn I wanna feel the love you can't live without The one that Johnny Cash wrote all his songs about But I gave it all away for no return Guess it's just another lesson that I'll never learn Can't seem to fill the void that lives in my chest Thought I was what you need but I'm just second best I'll never give it all away again I swear Don't even look for a heart you'll find there's nothing there (I can’t take it back) All the years that we spent together have come to an end (Regret is all I had) Not sure I would if I could do it all over again (I can't take it back) The memories, the pictures, I love you's will wither (Regret is all I had) But this is the last song I'll write about you Forget my name Forget my face It was all just empty space Deadweight; no longer part of me
