Certainly a bad matchup for the Bills in Rd 1, but I can't put money on a rookie QB in that environment. It's a pass. My rule of thumb in the NFL with dogs: If I don't think they can win outright, I'm off it.

NFL Playoff dogs rarely lose but cover - it's usually an outright win or SU+ATS loss. Yesterday's games a great example, Houston (home dog) gets the outright, and Steelers can't cover. WAS & LAR (especially Rams) are live dogs. Since 2018, there has only been 8 of 38 games where the dog lost but covered in the WIld Card round

Lets stop giving the Denver defense a high praise. Broncos last 4 games -- (disregarding week 18) Bengals - 30 points (6th in scoring) Chargers - 34 points (11th in scoring) Colts - 13 points Browns - 32 points (32nd in scoring) What are the Bills in scoring? - 2nd. Best of luck.

Also have to ask is Denver's defense really good? Here's a list the offenses they played to compile their stats: THE UGLY 7 OFFENSES: Jets, Saints, Browns, Raiders (x2), Panthers, Chiefs' practice squad THE BAD 4 OFFENSES: Kirk Cousins led Falcons, Colts, Steelers (loss), Seahawks (loss) THE GOOD 6 OFFENSES: Ravens (41 pt blowout loss), Bengals (30 pts in loss), Chargers (x2 surrendered 57 pts combined in both losses), Bucs (7pts - played them in a great spot after TB upset at Detroit), Chiefs (16 pts. - 1x and KC offense not what is was a few years ago) So I have to tap the breaks on that narrative, as it seems like their defensive stats were benefited by playing mostly crap offenses, while they struggled against the handful of good ones they played. NOW...could Josh Allen help Denver to cover by making some inexplicable mistakes (a la Justin Herbert yesterday)??? That's the angle I'd look at

I don't flat out disagree with your take on this game, but have to point out that the only playoff team Denver beat (not counting last week vs KC farce) was TB back in week 3, in a major letdown spot for the Bucs off their upset of Detroit. The rest of their wins vs NFL dregs. I can't help but to feel like Denver is a false flag team who was competitive against their division rivals (LAC & KC - but lost) and won 8-9 games vs. a lot of crap teams and the Chiefs practice squad. They may get exposed today same as the Baltimore game you referenced.

For that to happen, the NFL would need to pass on an epic Lamar Jackson vs Josh Allen divisional round game next week. I don't see that happening...would be a massive blow to the TV ratings.
