I think I am losing my mind! How on earth such a video recording exists? I always though there was no footage of any opera production was ever left from Karajan's Salzburg Easter Festival Wagner productions and now Parsifal of all operas! Who made this recording? Is it ever published on any medium? How did you get it? and even more importantly: Is there more out there? I am right now hearing the entry of Kundry. Such orchestral playing! What a Gurnemanz. Karajan's Parsifal recording was my first ever Wagner opera recording. I still hold it above any recording of the work. Thanks for the upload! Very, very! important document!

I have always wondered since the recording at this time came out WHY there was not a Sony Video (professional) of the production. Since that Parsifal was one of HvK's finest efforts, that is a great loss to his legacy. However, this is still very interesting of, essentially, that cast.
