This product works. There is a learning curve involved. Not in the use, but in maintaining it. Maintenance is crucial. I have shot close to 20gallons of Behr Premium interior. Ceilings and walls of 6 rooms. Don't thin your paint. The fastest way to get the piston to seize is adding water to the paint. Use synthetic 5w-30 on the piston/piston housing on the twin orings where the pickup tube filter assembly inserts and screws into the nozzle housing. Lube the heck out of it!

Yes, it may need to be thinned. The Wagner Flexio would also work very well.

I made a video review of the Power Painter Plus. Summary: It's super-easy to operate and run, but it the paint reservoir cup is almost too small to be useful for more than tiny projects. I would definitely recommend one of the more professional models and if I were doing any more than spraying a door or two I would probably choose to paint the spray right out of the can. I also agree with the other comments: CLEANING and maintenance is important!

upon start up if your unit runs but there is not paint, You have a loose connection. Both halves of the filter housing need to be absolutely flush and air tight. If you leave the gun idle for more than 1 hour you will likely have a seized piston. Have 5GL bucket filled with water handy. Remove the nozzle and immerse it. Unthread and remove the nozzle and paint cup. without disassembling them (it will be a mess) place it under running water and free the piston. Clean, relube and reassemble.

The gun is not at all fussy about mixing oil and paint. If you notice hesitant operation were seizure is imminent, stop, lube piston; follow the steps above. Every refill wipe the nozzles. This gun is amazing. Perfect for acoustic ceilings. It's a work horse that saves time. Especially on old uneven surfaces. I no longer would even consider painting a room without one. To me a brush and roller seem like slave labor. With time and patience you'll wonder how you ever got along without one.

There is an optional accessory available, the suction extension assembly, which allows you to draw paint directly out of a can of paint rather than using the 1 quart cup.

I just bought the power painter pro maybe a little over kill to paint a couple of dressers I didnt see anyone wearing a mask... do you have too?

Just placed an order for a Wagner Power Paint Sprayer Max with EZ Tilt, is there any video where I can see the use of the backpack? I'm not sure it will be easy to use and what are the inconveniences if any?

I'm debating between the Power Max or Flexio 590 to paint a few rooms and stain a small deck. Besides the two speeds and noise level, what's the difference.? Thanks.

We do not recommend Plasti Dip be used with our Power Painters. The flash point of Plasti Dip is too low, making it potentially dangerous to use with our sprayers.
