Wahl Senior Clipper Review

Here's our review of a Wahl Senior hair clipper. It got a Rating score of 10 by Clouds Diamond Sharpening. These clippers are powerful and one of my favorites because of the design and quality. It will get the job done if adjusted correctly. It is an adjustable blade clipper allowing for you to adjust the blade length when cutting. It doesn't get hot if blades are oiled and clean. I recently picked up a set of Seniors from the 1960s at a flea market for $5. I put a new blade on it, cleaned it up, adjusted it and set it properly, and oiled it up, and it works just as well as my Seniors from 2018. Simply amazing!

onesri hello. this was the newest model when I made the video. There is mainly versions. Some come with metal housings like this one and some plastic. I like this model BC of the metal frame but it may be to heavy for you. there are also 5 star Seniors you might want to look at also. Great video bud! Subscribed! I've been leaning to using only my wahl seniors for bulk removal and ditching my oster 76s. I have oster fast feeds for fading, but these are tanks! Most power out of the top three brands headliners

If The blades become dull that’s what you buy a sharpening stone for

Blades are not flat, they have shape to them. A hollowed out pattern. So a stone is not good for them. When a blade is flat to me it is dull. But it is your decision. Thanks for watching.

Maybe I can help you decide. The Wahl doesn't get as hot but does not have detachable blades. Oster 76 can use detachable blades. Nasser the 76 is more for bulk and the senior is more for fading but either can be used for both it really comes down if you want detachable blades or one blade that adjust. Hey, Little question the noise sounds like the wahl senior cordless version (rotary motor), thought it sounded like the corded 5 stars wahl senior, and legend to the point that you almost don't know if it's on or of without having it on your hands. (At least that what I know for the wahl legend cordless the but the 5 stars senior I've watched a video sounded the same). Is it normal?

Hello. If it cuts good I wouldn't worry about the noise. One is rotary and will quieter and the corded is a field and a arm and will be noisyer. Hope I awnsered your question correctly

@@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973 Thanks last questions, I see there are three screws on the blade, could I use the fade blade on it which has two screws? I'm asking to be sure cause I don't understand why 3 screws there must be a reason. I want to buy them cause I've had my wahl senior, and they didn't cut well heard it was the tension which we cannot change on the cordless one. (I've had another blade and same result that why I came to the conclusion that it was the tension), so I want the corded senior for more power, so that I don't have to go consistently on the same spot, and because it's quiet. I live in Europe found someone selling it but with a converter, do you think I might not get the full potential of the clipper with it? (like it reduces the power?)

@@amoyzegh @Amoyzegh the three holes is so it adjusts easy and you can just remove the blade with one screw in the middle but you can use it as a two-holed blade but you must use the two hold blade screws or it'll hit the housing and slow the blade down. Maybe I'm not fully understanding the question. So you can call me and I can explain it better if this does not answer it. My phone number is in the description

Saul Romero I mean you remove one screw to remove the blade and it has two set screwss to keep adjustment. for quit swap out on blades.

+Kenneth Bui I think you bought the cheaper one that doesn't come with a metal housing or if it is the 5 star it will have a different blade. I am not sure, if you have the model number i can tell you the difference?

Same model as this one. So same parts inside and you just got a black one, i'm guessing. No you have to buy a different blade for that like a balding blade. They also sell wahl clippers that come with balding blade

It's a newer model...I noticed that too.....the grey plastic part on the new ones looks a lot better in my opinion..they changed the 5 star as well

Your Wahl Senior's should never reach a point where the equipment is too hot to touch. There could be a few different things causing this. I would really consider having your clippers serviced professionally, especially if your clippers are burning customers.

ceelocc1 either a fast feed or a Wahl 5 star senior. The plastic housing 5 stars. But they will not be the same as an andis. But they are probably lighter
