Wailing Souls ~ Stop Red Eye (On British tv/c.c)

The Wailing Souls started out as a trio consisting of Winston 'Pipe' Matthews, George 'Buddy' Haye and Lloyd 'Bread' McDonald who originally performed as the Renegades. They later recorded for Clement Coxsone Dodd at Studio One as the Wailing Souls. They also recorded sessions at Bob Marley's Tuff Gong studios where they became known as Pipe and The Pipers to avoid any confusion with The Wailers. The group also enjoyed a series of hits with Channel One before the ever changing line up settled with the original trio alongside Rudolph ‘Garth’ Dennis. This line up relished a series of hits with notable producers such as Sly and Robbie `Sweet Sugar Plum', Henry 'Junjo' Lawes `Firehouse Rock' and the self produced `Stranded In LA' and `On The Rock' that featured our track, `Stop Red Eye'.
